I didn't know Maria and Ebe had sung this duet in Toscanini's funeral.
If I make a "musical imagination" effort, I almost feel their voices, their singing inside me...
This is a respectful performance, but maybe something has been lost in totally renouncing to a light expressive contrast between the first line (Quando corpus) and the last line (Paradisi gloria). Anyway, an amazing performance!
