I'm a little worried that anti-government rhetoric in the US and similar countries which does not include explcitly anarcho-socialist/radical themes prominently plays into the hands of the more rapacious sectors of the elite, and that this speech might contribute to that culture in some sense. Ironically, governements in liberal democracies get stronger the more they are denounced, as long as they are denounced within the hegemonic framework.

I have a question: How woould the big and small businesses fare in an anarchist society? I really don't know.  I'm all for overthrowing them,(especially in the NFTA countries,where abuses are rampant) but what would happen to the economy? It seems that it would collapse. Not many I expect. I was a fan of his at the time, and heard the album for the first time a few years after from a friend who had it. I never did see it in a record shop.

Oh I wouldnt say Never. I think this country was on the verge of a revolution before FDR came along and defused it with the New Deal shoring up the leaking boat. And I think the only reason they keep saying, were on the verge of a recession is because if they admit we are in the middle of a depression the news would be dominated by images of people throwing themselves out of skyscraper windows.
