  • Zionist bastard.

  • i bet all the nerd were nutting and shit

  • Germany injure the human rights.Rich germans fight 18 years with my family. They essay to kill my mother me and my sister.Germans give me 14 years medicals to make me sick.My poor mother cry but germans have no pitty.

  • I bet he's pissed off all the liscenced Indiana Jones games didn't do as well as the Uncharted series.

  • GOD I love this man.. GOD bless you.

  • FUCK PLAYGAYSTATION

  • XBOX IS THE BEST

  • i love how all the fanboys are posting on this video hating. Real GAMERS DON"T HATE THEY JUST PLAY VIDEO GAMES NO MATTER WHAT CONSOLE IT"S ON. Steven Spielberg is an avid gamer I'm sure if sony asked he would of said yes.

  • Actually, to all you idiots thinking that he did this presentation for money, you're a moron......his net worth is 3 billion, he doesn't need money......HOWEVER, he has stated since Pong first came out that he has been a huge video gaming fan and owns a 360, ps3 and wii.

  • Gta IV do You like it Steven?

  • Spielberg seems to have his foot in everything ever invented.

  • and NO not a gamer!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I'd like to 1v1 Spielberg on blackops :D

  • @ShadowRSonic You suck! I played with you before, camping fag :)

  • @MrFCKTHEMHATERS

Do you have supernatural powers? Do you spy on me? Because my XBL tag is completely different to my youtube username. You, good sir, fail.

  • @MrFCKTHEMHATERS

And, even if by some miracle you do know my XBL tag, I would like to tell you that I'm not a camper. I'm a sniper. In real life, do you see snipers rushing the enemy? No. They stay behind the lines and assist their teammates. And don't say 'BUT IT'S NOT REAL LIFE', CoD is a war simulation game.

  • Kind of ironic if you've seen Minority Report.

  • Let's say it's a step in the right direction. I'm waiting for the "Mind Link" controller. If they don't do it while I'm still "building up knowledge and money" then I will when I'll be able to.

Playing games with your mind as a controller... man I'll be a fucking beast at that.

  • Steven owns a PS3.

  • Make the technology invisible. Yes.

  • I love you Steven XD

  • For anyone who hasn't tried the Kinect and is talking shit shut the fuck up this is amazing i dont see sony or nintendo doing this shit i see sony selling a copy of WII to there customers once again Microsoft wins

  • Minority Report.

  • Microsoft is just crazy for getting money (as ALL the other compñanis) ..but this is just insane !

    hahahaha

I do not thnik this "console"? (or part of a console), les call it "Controller" would work as properly as it should,....this is just bad. It will be used for OTHER purposes that are not soo "shiny"

  • this is bill gates using all his resources into promoting his failed product hahahahaha

  • Fucking jew

  • oh yea oh fuck yea- SOLD! if speilburg says it so its fuckn so- ITS FUKN SO!!!.. like he is such a fore father of fkn video gaming, lol this guy...

  • I'm curious how much he got for this presentation

  • @MrOggi21 yep cause he needs money right?

  • @MrOggi21 He is one of the richest people in the world,he does not need any money.

  • @MrOggi21 probably nothing cause that not the way Steven rolls.

  • 1 question is still there.... what about ego-shooters...?

  • I can see why Steven Spielberg associated his name with this. He's a smart man, he knows that this technology will be incorporated into our everyday lives. Things such as saying your name to open a door etc; the uses for this are endless. He's probably privy to new technology we only dream about. I saw 3D tv back in 95' without glasses.

Personally as a gamer, i would prefer the controller; or i'd rather have a steering wheel in my hand when driving; it's that contact, it makes you feel human.

  • will milo come with the kinect ?

  • Comment removed

  • @vovo2211 milo is canceled something i saw on fable they are planning to make on kinect

  • @vovo2211 hahah u hav no friends

  • This is not good for SONY PS MOVE!!

  • XBOX: Steve be our represenative!

STEVE: NO, Kinect looks like crap!

XBOX: We will make your movies into games!

STEVE: Stop! It's not going to happen!

    XBOX: Oh Ok, Jimmy?

    Jimmy: -Shoots STEVE-

STEVE: When do I start? -_o

  • what Microsoft is doing is creating an army of Zombies -> look out for resident evil microsoft style~!!! =O

  • WOW needing such an awesome movie director to help hype a piece of shit like Kinect is pathetic

  • Steven Speilberg raped indiana jones..... nuff said...

  • @boricuacookie in South Park right? Man that was sick haha :)

  • I'm sorry but I still prefer the controller. I prefer having something physical in my head, it makes me feel more...attached to whats happening. I'm sure the Kinect experience will be breathtaking but...I well. To put it simply, I felt nervous about using a controller withut wires for 7 months before I accepted it. This one will take a few years to get used to I'm sure.

  • imagine if they combined this with 3d tvs!? if they could come up with some sort of reflector to bounce the 3d image from behind you you could be standing in the game! Whilst playing it!!! Now that would be incredible!

  • @MrTopsykretts11 or how about u plug a system into the side of your head and it replaces what your eyes see with whats happening in the game

  • @xHAZARD78x Wow that's a stupid thing to say... o.O

  • @MrTopsykretts11 its a joke lol

  • @xHAZARD78x No it was sarcasm... which is usually meant for insulting someone. get it?

  • @MrTopsykretts11 i was just kidding dude, chill

  • well i,m a xbox 360 player but i would say the ps3 move looks better :(

  • For most games, pushing a button is better than using your body because there are fewer obstacles between your brain and the game. This is not the future, it's a side project.

  • @LordCustard Agreed. It's like gamers and the Wii. The Wii is dominated by casual gamers, while gamers stick to the PS3/360.

  • @LordCustard i cant fully agree with you. the thing is, that most people just pressed so many buttons, that they can't imagine another way of gaming, even the wii has buttons. but if natal gets as good as possible, just imagine a fight game. you could just punch your enemy and dodge his punches as you would in reallife

  • @ThoseGuysWithGits then u want your character to do a backflip and you end up killing yourself

  • @LordCustard You sure about that? It's not about what it is as a whole, it's what it can bring as a project.

Imagine playing a horror game WITH your controller... then something scary happens in the game, then the game begins to RECOGNIZE your fear. It could play out multiple things, it could make the game scarier, make things jump out at you more... make your character more accident prone (due to fear) This was invented by gamers, they aren't stupid. It won't just stop at this.

  • @LordCustard dua how retarted are u??? u obvisley say that cause your used to the standard gay controller

  • Now we just need the all-ways treadmill so we can run in any direction and still be in the same place

  • @Kaeman72 they make sumthing like that, its a huge sphere you can walk around in and the sphere just turns when u walk

  • cade os brasileiro cade the Brazilian ?

  • Can thees fucks just give us some fucking shooter gameplay!?

This thingy aint just gonna be for fucking 5 yearsold faggots is it?

But if it is...Lets all say good fucking bye to Natal right now!

  • @LocustxXxLocust its most likely going to be casual, im glad ps move will be for hardcore games too like MAG and SOCOM

  • @LocustxXxLocust Because ou know th only real good games are shooters. HA! fucking codfag.

  • @JadenSmith1234

The only really good Call of Duty game was the first one.

And did I say anything about shooters beeing the best games?Or anything about Call of Duty?NO,I did not. I mearly remarked that ther was no shooter gameplay to be found.

You have failed, big time. dont turn things I did not say aginst me.

  • good words good words its not about re-inventing the wheel its not wheel at all

  • when is it going ot come out? is the project natal is the same as the kinect and milo?

  • this technology is the begining of mass face and voice recognition social controls...combine this with cheap paper computers of the future and you'll have a world where there is no place to hide. later they'll have brain wave recognition, dna recognition...and the word "privacy" itself will no longer exist. the thing is very cool but it's also scary.

  • @danielbooom atleast it isnt Nanotechnology

  • @MASTERCHIEF2434 yeah. but it won be too long before it became nanotech.

  • @danielbooom

not that your paranoid or anything :P

I dunno if you've ever lived in london but privasy is allready pretty scarce....

  • @blackblackgrey jejeje , i've never been in london but i know there are cameras and microphones almost everywhere in that city. if it helps to fight crime it's ok to me. but i bet they also use it to intimidate and scare people....you know it will be done the usual way, first they introduce it as a "game" and then becomes mandatory and everywhere.

  • steven spilverga

  • why are you here?

Go make me Indiana Jone 5

  • Lol everyone give different opinions..not that i care because i have all three console in a single room(large space).I don't really comment on what's good or bad.Just buy them all and enjoy playing!! :)

  • xbox > all. i don't want to play with icecream cones and look like a fuckin faggot what the pony slaystation wants you to do... maybe it's okay for asians but i don't want to look like a fucking prick moving around with a shitty wii copy. and the wii... lol! i think the idea and system is cool and all... but what the hell brought nintendo to the decission not to implement hd,better graphics and all... the wii games are shit if you ask me and yes i can say this because i had a wii

  • i wonder how much they paid spielberg to show up?

  • xbox360

    project natal

    they rule !

  • Im sure they will come out with some kewl games for this..drinking games would be sweet.

  • natal price increase to 150 US dollars

  • Steven Spielberg made A.I. in 2001. I would bet hes all for this. After all if you have investment shares in Microsoft wouldn't you be?

  • MS payed him to come at the stage..

    Whats next, Jackie Chan?..

  • Hey will natal work with the old 360??

  • I think this could potentially be better than the wii. The wii was just frustratingly boring after a while (maybe because the selection of games was so limited) and I found it didn't really respond that accurately to any of my movement. In conclusion, xbox ftw ;)

  • For some reason, I'm having a hard time this man is remotely interested in this.

  • i like the idea of motion control in games, and want to see how both the ps move, and porject natal, it's something that intersted me for a while and can't wait to see how this will turn out, will it be a fad, or will it turn gaming on it's ear, and change how we play forever?

  • I can see people being excited about this for a little while but ultimately, people want to play video games to relax. The people who want to be this active go outside. And it seems like there can't be an option to use a controller so people will buy it, play it for like a month and be back to playing normal games. Its funny how all these advances are coming out but people are going back to playing the old games. Stop making crappy add-ons and just make good games. Reinvent that!!

  • I don't care what you people say Project Natal Looks cool as heck & us Computer geeks as soon as it come out are going to hack it well at least make a new driver & software to use it on any computer, so we can do the Minority Report thing (He** Yeah). Oh & I do not know what you nut's are talking about Steven Spielberg is the man & I can imagine in the future playing 1 of his movies like a game. I think it's cool!

  • FUCK STEVEN SPIELBERG

  • Controllerfree playing is one thing, but if the natal onlys features retarded mini-games for casual gamers I'm not gonna buy it. We already have the wii for that >_>;;

  • Dear PS3 Fanboys, Shut up, go back to playing GOW3, LBP, Uncharted 2 and talking about how PS3 owns 360, we bought a 360 because we prefer the exclusives, and we don't mind paying for online, you bought PS3 for your reasons, no need to fight.

  • Fuck you fag and go suck your avatars cock. PS3 4 LIFE

  • @RubikWaveMedia

I'm trying to stop the fight, stupid.

Don't make it worse, that's the worse come-back I've ever heard.

  • unfortunely the era of motion controller isnt going so well.... i mean i dont really think that this tech will really be that good...BUT i also think this is a good start start since technology is going pretty fast for the last decade from ps1 turning to a ps3 and xbox 360 so i would really like to see game consoles after another 10 years.

  • PROJECT NATAL IS AWESOME!!

  • Comment removed

  • is this going to come with a treadmill? how are people going to walk? do i just motion my fingers to tell my character to walk? lulz???

  • I said to reflect an image of fingers to the back of a transparent screen image, to reflect touch to the rear of an APPLE phone/tablet to get the BEST users experience. This was years before the iPhone shipped.

And I had another bunch of suggestions about enhancing theater experiences and also family games at home by monitoring body movements integrated with voice recognition to make movies audience interactive and games family oriented.

In my suggestions I mentioned Rocky Horror Picture Show.

  • Hi, I REALLY LIKE what you are doing and you may particularly enjoy my compliment !

You see I am the guy who ORIGINALLY conceptualized ALL of the breakthrough features you have created in Natal, especially with Milo.

I am the one who posted the suggestions to APPLE's product suggestion boxes, remember ...

... the one about building a laser scanning device so that audiences at theaters can communicate using body language ...

And reflecting an image of the user to the back of the screen.

  • @TheOriginalMACchine LOL, you are full of shit. You did not conceptualize motion capture technology. It's been used in Hollywood for YEARS. This also isn't Apple numbnuts, it's Microsoft. They aren't the first ones by any means, and definitely not the best, to release a product that brings motion capture to the home environment. They aren't event the first company to do it cheaply.

You don't have to lie to kick it.

  • @TheOriginalMACchine "a laser scanning device so that audiences at theaters can communicate using body language" ever heard of sign language??? what a bad idea

  • @TheOriginalMACchine read my response about your milo remark

  • i hav a ps3 atm.

im going to get rich than get a 360 so i dont get jealous

  • They haven't given us nearly enough info on what Natal can do, if there's even any more things that it CAN do. Okay, play casual games with no controller. What else gaming related? Not much as far as I can see. When this comes out, I guarantee it'll be a commercial success, but fail at being of any great use. Simply my prediction. You can't do much without a controller. I guarantee they'll have peripheral bullshit after it's on the market. Guaranteed.

  • How dare u spielberg ! rape indiana jones !

  • @tonboyy what about saving private ryan??? that was fantastic

  • hahahaha steven spielberg is a gaybar

  • @suryagangsta lol that was random.......... idiot

  • @xxblodydovexx if you put the transcribe audio subtitles thats what he says

  • I hope they can combine this technology with the newish 3d technology from Avatar. Take it 2 steps further than anyone else on the gaming console market...

  • Guys the eye doesnt use 3d motion capture like natal. Its alot more advanced not just another camera its a revolutionary device. The Move still looks good im not a fanboy i own a ps3 and will probably buy both to compare. I love both systems and there new hardware but both have ups and downs. Its based on preference. Xbox for Online. PS3 for movies and amazing graphics.

  • ? How r u supposed to play modern warfare or games like that? Wouldn't it gt tiring to hold it up the whole time you r playing ?

  • how the heck does Spielberg fit in to this picture, i mean hes just a movie director right?

  • @dobbie12345678 well, his dreamworks interactive game studio (1995-1999) made some very good games like the original medal of honor for the psx, the dig, among others projects under his direct writing.

he also signed with EA a few years ago to produce some games...bloom box being the first.

  • spielberg in games sounds crazy. when does this come out?

  • @ScottWho8591 PS3 has no games

  • @Leon14096

    You wish

  • idk what the guy below me just said :P

  • wow looks fuckin retatded ps3 all the way

  • hell ya the wii can suck it

  • fuck this natal! for real gamers this is shit. either keyboard or controller for me.

  • well natal is either going to be great or a total failure

  • Will the future be cloud computing, or crowd computing (the corporations that run America, with the help of a pliant government, puts a microchip in everyone's head!)?

  • THE DEATH OF XBOX not really but i hope they dont try to phase out the controller

  • They really screwed themselves with the "no controller" stuff, because in the end - you NEED a controller. How the hell are you suppose to move freely and fire and issue commands in FPS games? Why use imaginary steering wheels when you can use an arcade-wheel (way more accurate, way more realistic). Project Natal will be so darn limited... Obviously they're gonna come out with some added equipment and stuff. We'll see. But right now I think the PS3 is leading the way.

  • @JohnnyK98k I must agree... I'm trying to imagine myself playing Sonic the Hedgehog... :P

  • @LHTheHedgehog Yeah gotta do backflips in real life for it to do back flips in the game.

  • @CssniperAus lol

  • @JohnnyK98k Natal is aimed at casual games, not complicated ones such as FPS games, there was another demo that showed how you can incorporate whatever physical items you have available as controller extension, so say you want to play a driving simulator with a wheel instead of holding your hands in the air then you just find a suitable object (f.ex. cereal box) and register it as the steering wheel, more affordable than expensive peripherals, although I'm sure you can buy them if you want too.

  • @JohnnyK98k

    PS3 is leading the way.

this whole "project" kinda looks like it was copied from PLAYSTATION EYE.

idnt see why PS3 and the 360 r tryn 2 b like the Wii..

    its retarded.

And u can Obviously tell that Microsoft is DESPERATELY tryin 2 be on the same level as PS3. srry 360 fanboys but its the TRUTH

  • @MoNsTeRbOnS thats not true PS3 stole that from xbox along with the so called playstation button or what ever (xbox 360 guide button) and the whole trophy thing was copied from xbox's achievements and sorry for you PS3 fanboys but thats the truth!

  • @Carjell

    LMFAO

  • @MoNsTeRbOnS quiet wrong, but ps3 is been behind, the only good about it its it blue ray but, when it comes to live play, games, adn features, the xbox is been on top.

  • @MoNsTeRbOnS PS3 has no games

  • Of course the fact that it uses 10-15% of the 360's resources means that developers have to purposefully not maximize their game on the console or simply not use the Natal. Sure you can play Wii games on the 360, but the Wii is pretty cheap nowadays. I think Microsoft is backing theirselves into a corner with this one.

  • you can play wii games on the XBOX???????

  • @herofilmer Well I should say games similar to those on the Wii. You can't actually play the same games.

  • Yeah I see very limited use of Project Natal for certain genres, FPS in particular which is ironic since the 360 has so many FPS games. Looking around will be virtually impossible without a controller, I doubt you can look at the TV while looking at the ceiling, and aiming will neither be precise or fast. I can see it being used as an added feature in many games, FPS included, I definitely don't see it being used as a main controller in most high end games.

  • i agree, and not to mention that blind people are going to buy some kind of crazy additional weapons, controls, etc

...this project its really nothing new at all, if that was all that it can do... so hahaha ;]

  • @Vylsith fuck first person shooters, I want to box without the console telling me I'm leaning the wrong way because the controller in my hand is pointing the wrong way... and thats why I hate both Playstation and Nintendo...

  • @zerotankor There is no boxing demo I'm aware of for Natal. Realize Natal still has a lot of issues that need to be worked out before it can be released. Slow response time and difficulty seeing dark objects are two of the major problems with Natal. Granted the response time isn't horrible, but... it's definitely slower than a joystick. As for Sony... the PS Wand uses the camera too in the boxing demo they showed. When you lean, the character leans. Nice attempt at bashing though.

  • @zerotankor PS Wand + PS3 Eye = a better wii mote + a slightly inferior Natal... the real difference is Sony isn't going off the deep end pretending that the PS Wand will revolutionize gaming. Sure some games will support it, but Sony likes to give their developers options and let them make the best game possible the way they see fit. Microsoft, on the other hand, is known for forcing their developers to do whatever they want them to. The way MS is going about Natal will end horribly.

  • @Vylsith XD it's fucking Microsoft you idiot, they could make toilet paper and clean up the market!

  • @zerotankor Not really. They've created plenty of products that have horribly flopped and they're far from the best seller in many areas, especially peripherals. Logitech is much much higher quality and sells much better than Microsoft. Also, Vista sold like crap. Of course it was crap, so that shouldn't be surprising. They honestly aren't doing overly well nowadays. Their market share has been dropping considerably for the last few years.

  • @zerotankor Thats like hating sony for expecting to be able to play games properly with the controller upside down...

  • @Vylsith :

Disagree. You might augment it with ease - just imagine a glove-like thing which senses which fingers you press together. Then, combos are possible which will remind you of old times... AND a Johnny Lee style Headtracking for 360°.

If only they would make it open, and documented... where no developer has gone before... I want it for my office applications. ^_^

  • @botanisch Combos are very different from looking up and down and behind you while playing FPS. Notice I never said that Natal wasn't useful for many genres. Not to mention aiming would be damn near impossible. It would be great for fighting games and, to an extent, sports games. I really don't see it being used extensively in FPS. Until we have the technology to create a holographic environment around you, it's just not feasible for many genres.

  • @Vylsith

Really? Imagine being able to move your head in an FPS and be able to peak corners? Voice commands, etc. Many possibilities. You are thinking way too hard about how MOVING AROUND EVERYWHERE can be applied to any genre.

  • @DirectorRico I'm imagining it... and I see all the limitations it imposes... how are you going to turn around and look at enemies behind you? How can it be used for anything other than looking in a slightly different direction? It's quite frankly less amazing than people are making it out to be. The idea has been around for quite a while now, and it's never caught on for a reason. The games are extremely limited and accurate tech just isn't cheap enough yet. Give it a few years.

  • @DirectorRico Developers for Natal are running into roadblock after roadblock right now. It's laggy. It had problems with environments with dark environments, people, clothing (hopefully that's fixed by now). It has a hard time when used in a room with any obstacles near the user (and I doubt you're planning on playing in a room with white walls and no furniture, though this is a software issue and definitely fixable, but I don't think Sony is going to hand them the code to fix it.).

  • @DirectorRico It can be used in conjunction with a controller sure. Of course... so can the PS3Eye. The problem is Natal uses 15% of the 360's resources. So most developers won't use it for their main projects because it significantly lowers the resources used for graphics, physics, and AI (not that AI takes much power, but graphics and physics do). So in the end, Natal becomes an overhyped eye toy. I just don't see it being used for anything amazing. No one wants Natal over a Wii. Period

  • @Vylsith Really why would you give a shit just stop trolling it makes the youtube community bad.

  • @Redknight345 Really why would you respond to my post without even addressing any of my arguments? Trolling doesn't involve offering intellectual points of view, it involves arguing for the sake of arguing and offering irrelevant points to argue a case that you either don't care about or don't actually believe yourself. You should learn what trolling actually means. You should also either address the argument or shut up. People don't have to agree with you. Stop whining, it's annoying.

  • @Vylsith2 No people don't have to agree with me but that doesn't mean you can just go crying about microsoft on a video that basicly showing things about microsoft just add it on some microsoft hatesite, Really microsoft being only for money is a huge stereotype and basicly never proven, they have done alot and without them we wouldn't even have youtube right now because they had the only software thast didn't suck balls.

  • @Redknight345 Microsoft helping the Chinese government oppress their citizens isn't an opinion. It's a fact. They also place hardware limitations in Windows such as maximum hard drive size and maximum amount of RAM for a version of windows to force people to upgrade. The BIOS limits the maximum RAM and hard drive size, not the OS. The BIOS can handle a lot more than Windows allows, though this is done through workarounds for the hard drive size. It's greedy, plain and simple.

  • @Redknight345 Also I'm far from crying on the internet. I seriously dislike Microsoft, I do however love gaming. This device does not impress me at all. Not even a little bit. I'm free to share my opinions. This is Youtube, not the Microsoft lovers anonymous club. If you don't like it, get off Youtube. Microsoft has stolen a lot of ideas you're quite right. Without them we'd probably be using Linux, an OS that works properly, and technology would've progressed beyond what it is now.

  • @Vylsith2 Im just saying that you can also share your opinions on a microsoft hate video, i would have nothing against that.

But its just annoying to see a troll every time you watch a vid that has nothing to do with his opinion, im not saying its forbidden to share your opinion's, but it would be easier if you wouldn't do that on a video that's actually just for entertainment. Without microsoft's MS-DOS linux wouldn't exist anymore.

  • @Redknight345 Linux is based on Unix, not MS-DOS. MS-DOS has no security and is very low functioning. Not a good basis for any OS, which is why current versions of Windows don't really use MS-DOS for anything short of batch files, scripts, and a few console commands which do things that aren't possible in the GUI. MS-DOS is less efficient than Unix in every way possible.

  • @Vylsith2 Obviously in runs on unix, but thats inspired by MS-DOS, saying that linux has good security is the biggest bullshit ever.

Noone would put spyware on a software that only 1% in the world uses. Really Microsoft was praised for having software thats actually quality instead of quanitity.

  • @Redknight345 LOL, no Unix is definitely NOT inspired by MS-DOS. It was originally developed in 1969 by AT&T for automated phone switch operation. It's evolved since then. MS-DOS is very much inspired by Unix. Unix is probably the most stable and secure OS on the planet. It can literally run for years without crashing, and does at power plants and web hosting locations. If set up properly it's almost impossible to hack. No, MS-DOS is a very bad replica of Unix.

  • @Redknight345 Also, I give a shit for two reasons. First off, Natal is not amazing or revolutionary. I hate it when people lie about their product or idea to try to sell it to less intelligent people as the next best and greatest thing in existence that nobody every thought of or created before them. It's not true. There's plenty of products already in existence exactly like Natal. Second, Microsoft is abhorrent. They've done absolutely terrible things in the world and I won't support them

  • @Redknight345 Microsoft programmed internet monitoring software which the Chinese government installs on all purchased computers in China which allows them to see what people are doing on the internet. The government uses the software to imprison for indefinite periods of time anyone who voices any criticism of the government. If you're okay with this, by all means continue to support them. What they'll do for money makes me sick. They're evil. They can go to hell. Enough said.

  • @Vylsith2 Ok once linux gets 90% of the market share im pretty sure people would complain for spyware.

  • @Redknight345 Spyware is usually user error, though Windows does have more than enough backdoors to allow it to go through. The problem is Windows has too many loopholes which allow programs to affect other programs and OS files. There's a reason why Unix is used for almost every server that has to be secure on the internet. Windows has too many security issues. Besides just security concerns there's also the litany of errors and design defects to address.

  • @Vylsith Controllers will likely take a while to be replaced. However, when it comes to fast/precise aiming...it would depend entirely on someone's reflexes and capacity to actually aim a weapon at a target. As for not being able to look at the TV when you look at the ceiling...it's no different than real life. If you're looking at the ceiling, you can't see what's in front of you. It would add a depth of realism to it...and some urgency to your reaction time as well. Should be interesting.

  • @Hellbane224 Fast precise aiming is an issue with 100 ms of lag, so it's really not entirely based on someone's reflexes since their reflexes won't be accurately measured. The issue with looking at the ceiling is you can't see what's on the screen when you do. The same goes with looking behind you. It's great that Natal can track your head motions, but it obviously has very limited use. Looking around isn't feasible without a controller yet.

  • @Vylsith If you're lagging, there's a good chance even a controller won't save your ass. Granted, looking around won't be fully effective right away...but these things take time. You can't plant flower seeds and then just fucking RAGE out the next day because they didn't sprout. It will take time, but they can do it eventually. Think of it more along these lines....you seen Iron Man? Remember Tony's lab? Something like Natal would make that possible, but it can't happen overnight.

  • @Hellbane224 That's 100 ms of controller lag, not internet lag. Natal's response time is currently not very fast. I already said everything you're saying in previous posts. Until they conceptualize holographic technology Natal is going to be very limited. Once they do, it's game on. Unfortunately, it's going to be a very, very, VERY long wait. We're not even remotely close to it yet. Find a way to carry the 5 senses to the brain without a probe and you win a cookie. Enough said.

  • ya know...theres a reason theres something called motion capture technology...you may be the controller, but will u really be able to look as cool as a chracter inside a game? hell no
