Great movie -one of my faves-if you havent seen it then you wont get this scene-she loves him and he kind of loves her but possibly due to his latent gay feelings he cant get it up with her-like he says "I told you I werent no lover boy" If you havent seen it you are really missing out!

funny though, blanche was on the movie set of bonnie and clyde as they filmed it. blanche barrow was an adviser to the director. then after the movie was filmed. blanche went to see the movie in the theater then made a statement to the press soon after. she said that the actress who played me. estelle parsons, had me running around screaming all the time like a horses ass. believe me when i tell you this. the real blance barrow. unlike in the movie was cool, calm, and collective.

read the book sold at amazon.com called.......my life with Bonnie & Clyde......written by Blanche Caldwell Barrow While she was in prison. she rode with bonnie and clyde with her huband buck barrow clydes brother. the book is brilliant and she was the only living eye witness to the events.

@assia735 There is a question as to whether Clyde Barrow was either impotent , possibly gay/bisexual, or(and probably MOST LIKELY) is that he was raped while in prison causing lingering emotional/psychological trauma which resulted in sexual dysfunction. THAT is what is being depicted here in this scene from Bonnie & Clyde. Bonnie, not realizing what had happened to Clyde in prison, mistakenly believes it is 'she' who is the problem.

Bonnie thinks Clyde doesn't like her but it is a historical fact that Clyde Barrow, had 'difficulties' being intimate probably because when he was serving a prison term he was raped by another inmate & that caused psychological problems for him & your quite welcome btw:)

Those are false rumors. On the special edition DVD of B&C, Robert Benton tells the true story about how, back in the sixties, they had to compromise: it was either the violence or the sexual thing that would make it into the movie. Beatty didn't mind the sexual thing, but in order to get the favorable (= box-office) rating it was easier to get the violence in. Leo Penn, Beatty and the writers then chose to keep the violence in and only hint at the sexual factor.

Hilary Duff's acting skill is High School Drama class at best, and she was only the Miley Cyrus of her day... "The IT girl of the moment". Faye Dunaway's reaction to the casting of Duff is only appropriate. Picking Hilary Duff as Faye Dunaway's successor is an EPIC downgrade of talent.

Clyde impotent? You need to remember that Clyde was only 24 or 25 at this point in his life so impotency was doubtful. He may have been bisexual in reallife. The scene which was probably cut several times was more to draw the audience into their relationship and to feel the pathos and love shared between them.
