VSG is really a way out from multiple diseases those can attack obese persons. My wife is going to have this surgery in this month in Bangladesh and it will cost US $ 3500. Its' pretty familiar here in Dhaka and people are enjoying with good health. Seems much less costly than USA or India here in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

@salcedoa It really depends, if a patient weight more than 200 lb, it seems like more than 9100 dollar. Between 185 lb and 195 lb, probably like 8900 dollar .

I am 1 week post op with Dr. Alvarez, I first want to say thanks for your inspiring videos. In fact I mentioned to Dr. Alvarez about you. Anyway I just wanted to say so far my post op has been great. I was up and walking 3 hours post op, and feel pretty good now. As U had said everyone there was great, overall the experience was very nice. Everyone is amazed and they say I look so well when they expect someone who's had bariatric surgery to look sickly and worn out. I had my Gastric Sleeve on May 11, 2010, but with Dr. Ortiz in Mexico. They say they provide followup, however they do not call back or respond. I could use some help and advice. What is your diet like on a typical day? (In regards to fluid and food) Do you take any meds, like vitamins or prevacid on a daily basis now? Im about 8 weeks along..Im not sure what I should / shouldnt be pushing myself to do or to eat and drink. I would really like to talk to you or your friend who did the VSG? D

I'd have to say one thing that annoys me is that there is so much stuff available for the gastric bypass & the band and the vsg is almost forgotten.
People ask me all the time 'oh you got the band'. No lol.
