  • is awesome !!!

  • I found it by accident! W00T!

  • @112fredrick I know that now, but you can still consider this the creative way of getting to it, if you didn't notice the missile blocks.

  • this looks a lot easier than when I used the 'bomb jump'.

  • i can skip imago

  • i wish i had the screw attack before i entered ridley's lair, would've been soooooooo much easier

  • i went into ridley's lair before kraid then panicked when i thought the only way to escape was to use the speed booster, thank god the developers anticipated something someone trying to fight ridley first and added an alternat escape route :)

  • oh, hey! ive done this. ive also skipped kraid and gone right on to ridley.

  • theres a way to get screw atk and beat ridley before fighting kraid

  • Can you skip the Gravity Suit?

  • @Takaoldaria No, but if you skip the Varia suit, you get it along with the Gravity suit.

  • Wow! I wish I would've know about this. This is norfair!

  • I've gotten the Varia Suit early, I've skipped entire bosses and the Long Beam powerup, and I couldn't think of this?!

    Kudos!

  • @h4y4bu54 Did you skip getting the high jump boots too? I did.

I think a lot of people get the Varia Suit early, maybe even accidentally on their first playthrough like me.

  • @RupeeClock Yeah, i was just exploring and bomb jumped up and got the varia suit on my first playthrough ever lol

  • @RupeeClock i got 2 mother brain with skipping the varia suit hi jump and screw attack and got 2 mother brain and btw i had 4 energy tanks and no super missles

  • @dakingeth Cool, you can skip a lot of stuff in the game actually.

Can't remember the exact minimum run for zero mission though.

  • @RupeeClock A year later, sadly the varia suit isn't needed really for speed runs and you get it at the end of the game anyway T_T

  • @h4y4bu54 The long beam powerup one isn't so hard to avoid, but omg you will regret leaving that behind lol

  • I know an even faster, easier way to get the Screw Attack early.

  • @Amaroqdricaldari

Yeah, shoot the hidden missile blocks at the top left corner.

I didn't know that when I made this video.

  • Does getting Screw Attack earlier in the game change anything?

  • @Xaphirox It lets you sequence break.

Can't remember the specifics though, but you can probably skip a lot of stuff by doing this.

It also makes life easier because it lets you jump through every enemy.

  • there is another way just use your missiles by the boor and wall jump to get in there

  • nice but l personly dont like geting stuff early exept the super missiles

  • i forget, what area is this?

  • @DARKSAMUS386 Norfair

  • I want to know if there's any way of getting the screw attack before the shinespark? That would be awesome (without cheats, of course)

  • The far left ceiling blocks are actually missile blocks, just shoot missiles at them.

So in other words, this video is entirely pointless. :D

  • Yeah, but I'm talking about the part where you have to remove all the blocks, run and shinespark/jump to get across to this point. Know what I'm saying?

  • Hmm, sorry, don't remember where in the game that was.

  • Apparently in Super Metroid it is actually possible to kill Metroids with just power bombs, so ice beam is not required. :)

I think the extent I've cleared Zero Mission of? Hmm, well I've done it without high jump boots, and I've skipped one boss by shine sparking to an early super missile tank.

  • I found that out after I made this video. :P

Though this method is fun too.

  • i accidentally killed Ridley First so it aint so early lol

  • @dudemain1 Yeah I've done that too. It's hard as FUCK!

  • what console, and what year did the game come out?

  • Gameboy Advance, 2004.

Although a quick google will tell you that.

  • how the fuck do u get the screw attack?! here i am thinking itll come to me like all the other upgrades but nOoOoOoOoo damn and i already beat the fuckin game so i dont think i can go back >:\

  • What are you talking about? You can revisit all past areas of the game, and the screw attack is necessary to complete it.

  • Are you serious? I beat the damn game without the screw attack! There were no certain parts where I couldn't move on because I didn't have the screw attack! Wtf are you on? LOL cuz like yeah.. how do I go back??

  • Checked a guide, seems you actually don't need it, but than that was also a 9% completion guide.

If you just play the game normally, you end up going through a speed-launcher that sends you right to the screw attack room.

  • How do I revisit the place? I'm done with the game, but I just want to know how to get back there because the screw attack is my favorite :s lol and well yeah.. I don't think you can go back, though.. because the planet blew up lol

  • Dude, what?

    I'm done talking to you.

  • no its not i've beat it without the screw attack, the reason behind that is i know all the secret passages in the game.

  • I already acknowledged that.

I was just dumbfounded that bobdolesux could beat the game without the screw attack and not figure out how to find it with a video guide already in place.

  • thats understandable.

  • It also seems Ironic that a Sequence breaker allows you to get Screw attack without Speed Booster and Varia Suit.

  • Wow, i noticed that your energy turned from 18 to 70. Or did i just read wrong?

  • Not familiar with energy tanks are we?

  • :P You could just use missiles there...

  • haha that was good

    ive covered this myself

my way is good too check one of my game help videos on my channel

  • just a question, how do you stop doing the shinespark at :10- :11 seconds? i tried but dont know how.

  • I used to do this all the time, thought that was how you were supposed to get it :P

  • Holding down the charge beam and jumping gives you a temporary sort of faux screw attack. Just 1 hit though.

  • That's no secret.

Asides from the major bonuses of the screw attack like sweeping weaker enemies and invulnerability, the Screw Attack is needed to destroy certain blocks anyway.

In other words, it's for sequence breaking!

  • yeah, well i didn't say it was. =\

  • u didnt have space jump yet, rite?

  • very clever

  • I used missles & wall jumping.

  • me too.

    isnt that much faster?

  • Believe me, I wasn't aware that was possible when I made this.

  • man i thought i was the only person who thought of it. at least im the only person with a speceil soundingwep

hint skip charge beam and ice

  • no! you can destroy the wall mith missiles! (last block left! i dod get it so!)

  • I use another path to get the screw attack early....

  • Oh, I just used the room to the right of the Save Room (which was harder for sure!)

  • hey after he goes through the save room how does he just stop like that????

  • ...Did you say "he"?

  • oh sorry were you a girl?if you are then my bad i couldnt tell if you were a boy or girl.

  • Oh, you're referring to the player, not the character.

    ...I'm a guy.

  • thanx for the vid..my charecter is a god now

  • there's also some missile blocks

    [][][]<speed boost block

    |

here, and you MIGHT be able to wall jump up there

  • yeah u can

  • omfg someone help me!! I'm speed running it and i'm at Chozodia without the Spin Attack and now im stuck!!!!! lol I guess it's kind of funny :P

I got the suit back and straight after that I get stuck because I have to spin attack through some blocks.

Time so far:1:47 (not bad :D)

  • Me too! I'm So Screwed!

  • Omg next to the screw attack blocks there is a missle block on the floor.

"Me too! I'm So Screwed!" (is that a pun :P)

  • nice time 1:11 on normal for me and 1:04 for easy :P

  • AWESOME!

  • can you tell me how to stop the speed-boost in mid-air i would really appreciate it

  • What the fuck is wrong with you?

You're a faggot for even going on here and insulting him because he felt that others needed to know how to do it.

  • That guy has made a number of accounts across different websites to try and annoy me, it's sad.

  • Yes indeed.

  • Well damn, you're right.

I just opened the rom in Zero Fission, and the missle blocks are right there.

  • I guess I'm not the only one who found that out. :P

  • I'm sure a number of people figured out to do that, I just felt like documenting it. :)

  • I figured that they would rather use the other and faster way instead.

Oh well, I was thinking about it, but was too lazy to download VBA and go through all that crap just to get to that point. :P

  • My way is down one level.

  • I saw that video, but it was downright dreadful.

You couldn't see anything properly and it doesn't even show you performing a great deal of the action.

Use Visualboy Advance and it's recording function.

  • My cell phone has really bad recording graphics (plus I don't have the metroid zero mission rom for the visual boy).

  • Ridiculously easy to obtain, seriously, do it if you want to record videos for youtube.
