That's not Jun, the Pelican they mentioned here was part of Fred's team of Spartan 2, who as said in the trailer had to jump from the Pelican in the middle of atmospheric re-entry. Mind you said jump was done without any reentry packs like Noble 6 used to survive his orbital drop, Spartan 2 being superior badasses took the force of their jump like nothing except for the 2 unlucky bastards there who landed in uncomfortable positions.

OK so Sparten II's used mark IV during normal operations, EVA means Extra Vehicluar Activity so Emile's not really a bas ass just a space man, EOD means Explosive Ordnance Disposal so futuristic hurt locker suit's, CQB Close Quarters Battle armor so infiltraiting covenant ships, Scout is stealth it iliminates IR readings and moves quieter.

actually you see in halo legends: the package that they wore different armor. For example Kelly war the Pilot helmet, and Fred's armour was sky blue and retrofitted with combat knives in the shoulder pauldrons

I'd like to point out, THAT'S NOT JUN. That is Red Team from the books at two minutes in. Read Halo: First Strike. Jun is confirmed ALIVE. The Gamma Station thing is in the book Fall of Reach, Linda was severely wounded and James was flung into space and so probably eventually suffocated. The defending Mac generators is in the beginning of First Strike, the body you think is Jun was probably someone that died on impact of the Pelican like Malcolm.
