A smart family would solve it private, can't imagine to sue my family over anything, that would only destroy relationships. To bad we live in a world where people got bad judgement and responsibility. Do we blame the parent or the child?
Usually i would say the parents got a very big part of the raising of a child, pretty obviously for some. Then again other factors can play in. It's a sick world we live in, humanity really needs to grow up or we are all truly domed. Swallow that pride people..

Nope, what I've been asked by people needing to borrow my wheels are: "does the car have gas i.e a full tank in it, is it a standard or automatic? how does it handle, , NEVER is the car covered by insurance.

@Yeowie69 Having blood ties with someone isn't a certificate of moral character. You can perfectly be a wonderful parent and have an unbearably awful child. I know, I've seen it happen over and over and over. Point is, you take as granted that the man hasn't even bothered to try other courses of action. Personally, I think blood ties aren't an excuse for not doing what's right. If she's done wrong, she pays, and a court is a legitimate, if a bit sad, place to enforce this.

If the law's the law, why did you include the seat belt issue in your suit? Any fool can see you have two separate issues, insurance and seat belts, and any fool can see you, as the designated driver, are responsible for the latter and your daughter, as the owner, for the former.
