I thnk this is brilliant but I wondered if someone could please help me.
When I first heard this song, I am sure that one of the lnes was "When a man named Jesus walked upon the earth."
I thought it gave the song even more pathos and, but alas, it is missing.

Thanks for posting. This is so evocative of its era. I was an 11 year old girl in Ireland and my Dad called all us kids to see history being made. I don't understand why it was banned though. Anyone know why?

@leabharb I've read somewhere that people thought it was anti patriotic and anti American.John always said he was sorry about this misunderstanding and he should have made it clearer.(correct me if I'm wrong..)
