The turkish cypriots submitted 200 or so missing and dead persons to the Human Rights Courts and the Greek Cypriots submitted 6600. The turkish Cypriot leader denktash admitted to the execution of 1600 innocent Greek Cypriots in labour camps after the invasion and admitted to blowing up a press office to blame the Greeks which started everything.

If all you rude & abusive people read my posting carefully, you would see that at no time did I ever suggest the Turks did not commit any attrocities. I was just trying to add some balance to all the one-sided blame being levelled at the Turks. This is a fact, during the so called ceizefire after the 22/07 1974, when the UN observers were crossing the lines, to the occupied areas, there were no shelling by the Turks. But when the UN observers returned back the shelling by Turks was 100% accurate!!!!!! What a surprise, the Turks had a good knowledge of our possitions.

I was a United Nations Peace Keeper in Cyprus in 1973-74 & cannot believe the one sided comments against the Turks. I saw how vicious, violent & murderous the Greek National Guard were against the Turks. I saw unarmed villagers of women & children dragged out of their houses & massacred. Even the UN Peace Keepers were attacked by the GNC. Turkey did not illegally invade Cyprus. It was only after the coup in Cyprus by the Greeks that Turkey sent in its soldiers to protect the Turkish population.
