  • to all the haters here and non believers since you cannot still buy one I would like to say "crawl back under your rock, especially to ignorant Americans who think gas is the only suitable form of fuel. It takes decades for inventions like this to hit the market not 2 years, It took the japanese almost 2 decades to get the prius on the market so stop yer whining. And another big issue are the oil companies that want to use fossil fuel until it's all gone and than maybe look at alternatives.

  • @XarraX9009 So a 6hp, 5 mile range, hideously inefficient, ancient tech, appeals to you, then give MDI money so you can join the other investors since 1996 who have lost millions on this SCAM.

Once you realize you have been burned join the other losers at action-group dot co dot cc

By the way it took Toyota 4 years to launch the Prius butt head.

  • @fizzguts have you even read my comment or are you just trolling here? if at all your the moron here. My comment is to people who think that petroleum is the only form off vehicle propulsion. Where did I talk about the MDI or any scam.....and get your facts in order the prius was launched in 1997 but Toyota had been working on an alternative since the early 80ies (google is your friend) but you knew that ofcourse. I wasn't talking on the release date butt-head.

  • @XarraX9009 So "since you cannot still buy one" "inventions like this" doesn't refer to the MDI air car in this video. So when did you stop taking your medication?

"almost 2 decades to get the Prius to market" nope, wrong, do not collect $200.

  • Google Wiki Motor Development International to learn more about this folly.

  • How safe is it?

  • This is the invention of the future!

  • Yeah its always been my dream to own a French car.......NOT!

  • Good luck getting it to the public. There is a fleet of misinformation police trolling all over this technology (paid for by big oil) to sway public opinion. You will know them by their rude fearful comments...

  • @KamaraSune Hows this for a true comment. This piece of crap is a con to sell licenses to rich technically illiterate fools. In the only published test it went 7.22km (google it) In the 15 or so years this CON has been running over 20 million has been extracted with NO cars sold. The latest investors at catecar are trying to sue MDI to get their money back. This is a 150 year old technology will always be an underpowered short range inefficient pile of crap. Hows that?

  • @KamaraSune so if the car will do 100 miles on a charge then why do they not film it and show it on youtube

  • And where does the "pollution free" energy to cram the air in the tank in the first place come from, brainiacs?

  • Free energy labeled 'economic terrorism' - The widespread adoption of these new, non-polluting energy and propulsion systems will effectively replace the use of oil, gas, coal, nuclear power, impacting 4.5 trillion dollars a year in world economic activity, replace? the current? geo-political order with one based on decentralized abundance. (Examiner; March 21, 2009

  • i would shoot my self before i would drive a car like that. its not how its powered that pisses me off, its how small gay and ugly it looks. and only 40 miles an hour max!?!? FUCK THAT!

  • I think they should change their name to the PseudoScience channel if they believe the aircar is anything but a scam.

  • We talk about getting off dependency on oil, about saving the environment and going ‘green’ and creating jobs, well something like this could do that. Why aren’t working on making these cars?

  • @goldielocks513 "Why aren’t working on making these cars?" Because MDI are lying bastards with a vehicle with an ACTUAL range of about 5 miles. Air cars will always be a low powered short range POS & that's due to basic physics. PV=nRT

  • within 50 years from gameboy to WII or p3, within 50 years, gas too....gas? comeon we should be driving on water or air, RIGHT NOW, but no oil is a great way to get money instead of developing new tech

  • Make it look less like a cube and then you have yourself a buyer.

  • @WannabeDetectiveAlex

5 mile range 6 hours to fill the tank using a 6kw compressor. Cost of electricity about $3 to go a theoretical 20 miles. It's a CON

  • Watch the oil companies kill that car.

  • They are too laud ...

  • Ahh! Yes!

    Electric - Air Hybrid

    The future!!

  • If they don't develope a way to fill your tank off of a regular air compressor, then they are making a huge mistake. No stations needed. Fill your car up at home on your own compressor, or make one people can purchase for their home.

  • The potencial energy contained in the fully presurized cylinder is enormous, I have seen personally the damage done by a tank of compress natural gas of about 15 gallons at 2500 psi that simply exploded and demolished the car beyond recognition and blowed up the filling station roof too, this was a hapening thing in southamerica until they finally banned keblar cylinders and returned to the heavy but reliable steel tanks just like an oxigen bottle which they test and certify every 5 years.

  • i hope this technology wont be suppressed the auto/oil industry is loosing power and face fast

  • Can I convert a 1962 Chevrolet Impala to air pressure?

  • I want an air powered lay down bicycle with a trailer! Screw the DOT! You could even enclose the bicycle in case of rain or snow. Leave the pedals on so I can get some kind of work out too. An air assisted bicycle! ...with a trailer for groceries. Put the air tanks in the trailer too! Make mine Sky Blue!!!!

  • i would by it if it didn't look like crap.

  • i want a black one, so i can put a xbox in the back with a flat screen, add a some fire stickers to the side and bammm its pimped.

    sory..had a xzibit moment there

  • amazing

  • i like this idea and would like to see a lot more research done on it, but i must say...a 50 gallon 4,000+ psi tank! it better never get ruptured in and accident. it would turn that little thing into confetti, lol.

  • this car has to be a hoax... the US site has been taken down... they promised all these cute models and specs... and last year out of the blue they start promoting this gay ass looking airpod golf cart thing instead of focusing on the real vehicles that everyone wants... RED FLAG

fucking scam... they needed more capital, now they can try for another 10 years to build something feasible... i'd like to be wrong but the scientific details just don't jive with the specs...

  • "God: Hidden Science" - Google it!

  • id hate to be involved in a crash of these mothers... or the bystander who catches the tank in their gut! XP

  • hey idiots...is a hoax....is 2010 and still no air car....Tesla rulz...they said "next year"...the reportage was made in 2008 ...that means is on the road on 2009.....hey people...is 2010 and still nuthing.....look at the MDI site...the US is not working...HOAX

  • Its good to go green... :)

  • As this POC uses 5 times more energy than an electric vehicle for the same distance, has a miserable range and performance, it's a poor advert for green any thing

  • O yea. Thats how much you know.

  • If these cars really worked, wouldn't they be everywhere by now?

  • Rocky the oil companies around the world wont allow this to take over gasoline cars which is why they arent everywhere now. Bastards

  • think of how long it took for the gas powered car to catch on

  • @rockyourworld14 they wouldn't, because there's too much money involved in oil industry, and no one wants to lose the income.

  • @yamimakaiz Have you ever heard of capitalism? Or competition?

  • Another brain dead reporter reporting on a scam.

  • excellent work!

  • lol 40mph

  • It can go up to 110 km/hr learn to read.

  • what's that say?

  • "It can go up to 110 km/hr"

Nope It's a pathetic con for technical illiterates

  • Who are the poor muts financing this project? I've know about it for 10 years - still none sold and no performance figures released. Some people have been "taken for a ride" - and it wasn't in this vehicle.

  • No, now-a-days it costs about 40 dollars.

    -Sad face-

  • This would never pass crash testing in the USA. There is alot of good technology

around that we can not use because of regulations in USA.

  • Good technology? You think 7.2km at bicycling speed is GOOD!

google rexreserch negre for the ONLY published test. Ignore the claims they are lies and moose drool

  • My point was that there are other Countries working on good transportation such as electric cars, air cars and basic transportation vehicle that we in the USA will never see because thay are over regulated to the point it adds thousands on dollars to the cost. I should be able to by a basic cheap mode on trasportation. They will not let me drive a cheap car because it will not pass a crash test but I can ride a motorcycle at what ever speed I want. The cheap car is safer than a bike

  • Or they can redesign the air car to become and electric/air hybrid so it can become a heavier car that may pass the safety test.

  • it is a pretty cool idea, but theyre really ugly and they cant go on the highway without using gasoline

  • to many nagtive thoughts here ! air car is great invention ! isnt that tato nano indian car doing this already like 1000 dollars for the whole car !

  • to many nagtive thoughts here ! air car is great invention ! isnt that tato nano indian car doing this already like 1000 dollars for the whole car !

Nope wrong price, it''s spelt Tata and they are not doing an air car

  • Are these mf'ers serious? No ones gonna buy this piece of shat

  • 'Radio has no commercial value. Who would pay for a message sent to nobody.'(Colleagues of David Sarnoff on his Radio project, 1920's.)

when the Wrights tried their first plane they said man would never fly. i say this is a great idea, new or not and we should give it a chance to prove itself and lend constructive support to an idea with a good cause instead of being overly critical and shooting it down before it even has had a chance to mature.

  • It's had since 1991 how much longer do you think it needs. Air cars date back to the 1900's same question

  • Hmm. Spend $2. of electricity to pump air into a car that can go about 4 miles. That is 50 cents per mile. Better yet, give those con artists $300,000. to built zero car. MDI and Zero Emission Motor should be renamed to Zero Production Motor because, they will never built a car for the public.

  • You sound really smart. I mean it. I wish I had a brain like yours.

  • its great , but ugly why not make look good like mini car style

  • Hahaha ... how brain amputated one has to be to think that this shitty compressed air stupidity solves any energy problem??? Ah, because this shit doesn't emit CO2 when driving??? Ah, and who or what compresses the air??? Really, how brain amputated one needs to be.

And please, this shit is certainly no 'new technology' or "smart invention", but the latest rubbish from France that does not work. Please, Frenchies, do us a favor and cultivate wine!

  • i wanna see what japan could do with this

  • actually it can reach 110km/h

  • Quote "actually it can reach 110km/h"

If dropped from a very high building. No one not even MDI has achieved anything like their claims. Speed and range the actual results are 7.2km at about 30km/h

It's a stinking con and has been since 1991

  • thing i bet cant even go 20mpg

  • There are several companies designing similar cars to this, one is called the CAV i believe and will be available in America within 2-3 years.

These would be great for a daily driver too and from work, driving to the store or taking the kids to school but i dont think we could totally depend on this. Maybe having a car like this for around the town driving and then a regular gas car for longer trips would be idea.

    Only time will tell though.

  • Love this car and am very impressed with the business model!

Cannot wait to buy one of these!

  • hope we dont run outa air :D

ima open a air station, starting at $1.00 for 1 min of pumping :D

    -hold your applause-

    :)

  • da electric could be free but idiots have controll of this cluster fuk we call america

  • electricity isnt free.

  • it is if you know how to get it free, *coughs* power voltaic cells, wind power, etc...

  • So you think spending $45,000 on a photovoltaic set up to run the compressor this con requires is "free"?.

If so your free does not equal my free.

  • who says it has to be photovoltaic? im sure there are more energy alternatives out there, such as wind power, hydro, etc...

  • Sure it's so so so cheap to dam a stream, install the penstocks, install the pipelines. Having dug trenches for a home scale hydro system I suggest you haven't a clue what you are talking about.

And of course they give away 7kw (that's how big it has to be) wind turbines and their towers for free.

I guess that's why everyone has one in their back yard. Doh!

  • well, start using your head and your hands and build one your self (wind turbine), it will be a lot cheaper than buying one, and obviously a lot than having to pay for it every month

  • 7kw wind power unit, isn't trivial to build, isn't cheap (think $1000s for just the materials), apply for permits, erecting a 50 ft tower etc etc When you have done so you will discover unless you are way to hell and gone in the back blocks where running lines is super costly it is MUCH MUCH cheaper to get electricity from the mains. Sad but absolutely true.

Just try to put 7kw wind mill up in town. You will get to play meet the berserk neighbours and local council

  • they need to put this show back on

  • thats alot of refeuling

  • not really, especially compared to gasoline.

  • i want one of those 6 seaters!!!

    freakin amazing!

it may take power to pressurize the air but that's what solar is for. and the tank is made of carbon fiber... which is way stronger than steal. i'm sure you'd have to worry more about pollution from normal cars than explosion from this car. way to go france!!! please bring them to the world :)

  • besides what do you use to fill up? and what does the fill station run off of? gas? electricity? either way the compressor would need a lot of power to compress 4,000 psi. this will not work, thanks again france but no thanks!

  • You're retarded.

  • i agree

  • ok... we'll see, then again we may never know.

  • with all that pressure in those large tanks... what happens during an accident that causes the tank/s to rupture? body parts everywhere!!!

  • nope, safety tears will make a loud whooshing/popping sound... no steel to shatter and create shrapnel.

  • Today most cars are ugly. The designers simply don't know now what "new" to create. They just simply want to be original and since all good design has already been invented they came up with these idiotic shapes.

  • Those 'idiotic' shapes are designed to maximize usable space. No, it doesn't look like a AC Cobra, but the important thing is what it's all about, not the pretentious cosmetics.

"All good designs" have been invented already...LOL, I hope you weren't serious. Besides, beauty is very subjective.

  • All great cars are not made in US its always from Italy and Germany. Few examples are Ferrari and Volks Wagon. Only stupid high consumption cars are made in the US like Ford.

  • Oh Yes, the US is so stupid....Bashing the US is so easy for a moron that know's nothing...The USA has done more good for this earth and other countries than it has done bad..Go screw yourself!

  • Well, if you can back any of that up with facts I'd like to see them. Up until very recently the US was the biggest polluter on the planet. It's still in second place. Americans consume more resources than almost anyone else on the planet. Your last sentence shows your intellectual level, so you probably don't understand what I'm saying. :-)

  • This is called progress, I like being able to hit a switch and have the lights come on. The USA is the greates in the world that is why everone wants to live here. I don't see poeple flocking to move to Africa or any other 3rd world contry.

  • Are you talking about the mexicans?? Im quite happy where i am and feel no need to visit your self inflated ego!

  • Don't worry with Obama's help we too will be a third world country.

  • Ignorant redneck

  • I hope the us auto makers(ford gm dodge)start investing money into this Idea, Because if they don't,....

  • Trust me, they'll look a whole lot prettier as the price of gas goes up. They look kinda nice now that gas is $4/gal, at $5 they'll be pretty sweet looking, and at $6 they'll be crazy stoopid smokin sexy!

    8-)

  • @CATvolution lol true

  • Come on...why do they have to make the cars ugly? I'd definitly buy one if they were brought to the US.
