  • to all that dont understand trinidad is not a black island it mixed the people in the vidoe some were trinis but most were students learning enlish from south america in america they are latinos in trinidad they are mixed or some who are lighter maybe white. trinis black, indian, chinese and white. I think think latinos and hispanic should be called mixed because that what they are not a true race, lot of people from the island look hispanic not everybody thats lightskin and light eyes PR,D

  • we 'll come back 2014 party in brazil !!

  • Who dem people?

  • What is the name of song and who is singing it? I love it!

  • Get over it. Stop commenting on my comments!

  • alot of pussies

  • Why are they showing mostly spanish we have alot of blacks and indians!much more than spainsh

  • i aint see one black! who sure this is trinidad ?!

  • @dazzling5909 These happen to be most likely Venezuelan students at the Pro-Language Institute PLI. Trinidad has always had students coming in from Venezuela to learn English. And as with any nationality, you end up hanging out with people who you are familiar with. It would be more comfortable for them to speak Spanish. I don't agree with anybody who is making racist remarks - this is not the US. We intermarry a lot and the end result is a callaloo.

  • trini people is fuck tarded

  • @TheSuperonestore TRINI PEOPLE IS FUCK TARDED DUDE YOU SERIOUS YOU HAVE TO BE A RETARD YOU UNEDUCATED FOOL DO SOME RESEARH ON TRINIDAD I NO FOR A FACT THAT OUR COUNTRY IS BLESSED WITH WONDERFUL PEOPLE.....

  • @siddiq1988 HEY YOU RETARDED BASTARD.......

  • Stop hating. Trinidad is a multiracial society. We would not be who we are if we were not a product of more than one race as are all Trinis. Stop making colour an issue. Trinidad is an island of many shades and hues which make us truly beautiful. Stop hating and go and pray, Go Go Go ah say.

  • Sorry you all, my cousin was on mine, not me.

  • Nice vid. Some of the raciest comments are stupid though.

  • WHY IS THERE WHITE PEOPLE IN TRINIDAD

  • That's not nice to say.

  • @garnettbobo I don't know where you are from but there were white people in Trinidad from the early centuries. There are sites on the Internet about the history and culture of Trinidad and Tobago. These happen to be students from Venezuela. Trinidad has always had students coming in from Venezuela to learn English. If you go to the US, do you hang out with Americans or your own people? Trinidad has a very mixed population, more mixed than any of the other Caribbean islands.

  • I like the video but some of these people comments are just too dumb.

  • I'm not racist, is just a video of memories of students liming in T & T, I love the people of Trinidad and all very friendly which made our stay wonderful. We share with all without distinction, as a unit and with joy, if you want (my critics) are two other videos with many Trinis.

I ask you to respect me, as do many people in this beautiful country!

Those who like it does not think twice about T & T is a great place with wonderful people

  • bess song! :D

  • Where's the unity? Dem doh know a single black person?

  • @Jamille85 As a student studying another language, I guess it is easier to stay with their people. When I go to a Spanish country and that is often, I am glad when I meet a English speaking person. It is less stressful. I really don't think that they deliberately keep away from black people. Our so called white Trinidadians or high brown people do not mix with us, they are the culprits when coming to racism in Trinidad. There is racism in Trinidad, so not let's get down on the foreigners.

  • are you all sure this is trini&tobagot or trinidad, cuba??? 'cause they look too much like europeans, not one black person, even tho i know the island are a mixture

  • @niekalee305 Do some research & start thinking outside the stereotypical racial boxes. If you have to classify these ppl. I would say their phenotype is mostly Hispanic or they look more like non-white Hispanics.

  • @lx0az9 I pretty much said that. They look like europeans/white/non-black or anything else.

  • @niekalee305 Cont'd In the Trinidad context these ppl are considered white & it is mostly related to a socio-economic condition.Trinidad is a country with mostly dark skinned ppl these lighter coloured ppl can more easily be white identified. Where I live however they are classified as Brown/Latino. They do not have the same socio-economic status as they wld in Trinidad. In Trinidad in Brown ppl usually belong to a more affluent socio-economic grp & have higher status.

  • @lx0az9 These people are either Venezuelans or from South American. They come to Trinidad to the Pro-Language Institute to study English. If I was in Trinidad (I am a Trini) I would call them Spanish not white. Trinidad is a very multicultural island and we have all races living there. The latest addition Cubans (medics) and Filipinos (nurses and pharmacists). The later are on contracts.

  • @islandgirl3330 U are not reading &just making inane comments. Please read & then answer in a logical coherent manner so I would know what you are rebutting to????My previous post months ago said these people r not white they r considered Brown/Latino in N.America ( Venezuela is part of that classification). In the Latin countries there is a strong preference for white identity and phenotype preferably blonde, these people do not even meet the aspiration white classification in their country.

  • @lx0az9 If you were there in the COLONIAL DAYS before 1940, I would accept this comment but you are talking so much nonsense. Who brainwashed you? Take a visit to Trinidad and you will see who has the most education and in the biggest positions. They are surely not the people you are talking about. Don't go there with that attitude, you will get the runnings from the time you enter customs and immigration. "Higher status and more affluent socio Group". Time to take a Trip whoever you are.

  • @islandgirl3330Yr question who has the most education and r in the biggest positions? That will be the INDIANS!!! Who still derive enormous incomes from wealth through techniques such as asset allocation, investments (including BIG businesses, real estate, stocks, bonds etc? That will still be in the majority the whites although there is a strong INDIAN Presence. Make your point clearly and concisely so I know what yr argument is. As to customs people they are MERE WORKING CLASS WAGE EARNERS>

  • @islandgirl3330 When you do a proper sociological study as to who owns the wealth in Trinidad and have statistics to prove that yr assumptions r fact then come back & talk to me. Because yr comments make no sense I have to infer you argument is REALLY WHAT ?? I DON'T KNOW . Tell me why are you addressing me. WHAT IS YOUR POINT? Anyway I answered your two other post & this is the 3rd. Before responding READ, post a comment that makes sense & is not repetitive of what I said previously.

  • @niekalee305 @lx0az9 I think you are not relating to what I am saying. If you live in Trinidad Hispanic is white or European and have high status where I live Hispanic connotes non European it means Latino. Ppl wth heritage from the Spanish speaking Americas, like you mentioned Cuba for example. Yes they do have a gr % of European ancestry but many are also multi -ethnic with mestizo/native Indian ancestry, African and other admixtures and are considered not white but Latino or Hispanic

  • @lx0az9 I hope I am not offending anyone & the ppl in the video may really be white & may be appearing brown because of the quality lighting of the video. From my vantage point because of where I live & (I don't mean visit or on a student visit ) I have to relate to ppl who come from all corners of the globe and I mean that literally, if the small cross section of light brown Trinidadians want to portray themselves having fun without the more African appearing Trinis that is OK. They are Trinis

  • Comment removed

  • @niekalee305 I live abroad and Europeans do not look like these ppl. I agree one is not seeing some stereotypical pure bred Sub-Saharan Africans. Although, (living abroad) one sees a wide diversity of colour tones among people from Africa from yellowish & reddish brown tones to beautiful one toned ebony black accompanying some of the most classic angled features. These ppl here are heavily coloured ppl.

  • @niekalee305 It is obvious that you have not been to Trinidad. If you have not gone there and travelled in all the areas and mixed with all levels and races of people, you should not make these remarks. You are just proving to us that you are someone without the knowledge of the place. You are referring to Europe and sub Africa. This is the Caribbean and the population of the islands vary.
