Maybe thats why they shouldnt be in captivity. The fucking japs kill everything in the ocean (mother fuckers) they have killer in there name because the hunt and kill other whales not a single report of a wild orca attacking or killing a person in captivity there are countless numbers of injuries and killings its obvious they shouldnt be in captivity they not even whales they are the biggest member of the dolphin family. Songs fucked up. Its just a song i know but still its fucked up.

I worked at a chicken slaughter factory, which made Auschwitz look like a holiday camp. 200.000 chickens a day, a million a week. Only job I could get at the time....

@ALoveForOrcas You realize if orcas were never put in captivity people would still be hunting and killing them? Studying orcas in captivity is what made humans realize what amazing creatures they are. It wasn't til AFTER captivity that there were ANY protection laws against killer whales. And countless numbers of kilings? There have been 3 all by the same whale. Do some research before you go bashing something you know nothing about.

@shamuroxy - Yes tilikum has killed three people but go to captive orca statistics and there are more attacks, injuries and deaths then just these. And japan still hunts and kills them, not as much, they even have some in captivity. And yes captivity has done some okay things but there has NEVER been a report of a wild orca attacking, injuring or killing a single human, yet the ones in captivity have done so. And how can you study them properly in a tank. You need more reasearch on your part 2!

@ALoveForOrcas Um actually there have been attacks in the wild, while only a few of them have been documented that doesn't mean there hasn't been more. Also there have never been humans in the same proximity of orcas in the wild as they are in captivity, of course there are going to be times when the whales have a bad day or get pissy. @ALoveForOrcas -cont- behaviors, their births and gestation periods and so on and so forth. We have gone from knowing almost nothing to knowing a heck of alot more about orcas in the past 50 years and a great deal of it has had to do with captivity.

@shamuroxy yes i know but im just saying in general you cant really study them in a tank. I just dont like the ones that were wild like tili or katina to be in a tank. I would love for them to be wild but some just cant. And the ones that were born in captivity is okay because they have no idea whats out there but the ones that were taken from there families should go home. And i know its hypocritical but i love seeing them everday that i can.

@ALoveForOrcas Um we have learned so much about orcas from captivity. You can to study them in a tank, sure their behavior isn't going to be exactly as it was in the wild, but it's still the same species who have the same instincts. So what exactly are you saying? We release all the whales that were captured? I'm confused about who's side your on. You go and say they shouldn't be in captivity because they've killed people. But then you think it's ok to go to marine parks to see orcas -cont-

@ALoveForOrcas -cont- by doing that you are supporting captivity. So I am really confused as to why you want to go and say captivity is bad, but then turn around and support. That also leads me to the point of why captivity is needed. You said you want to go to places like SeaWorld so you can have the opportunity to see orcas, well there you have it, the main reason why captivity is necessary.

@shamuroxy omg idont know if you getting my point or not. I didnt say captivity was completly bad. Somethings yes, but there a one or two plus sides to it. I havnt been to seaworld in 4yrs, anyways i want to see Makaio (cute) but if i had the money to go whale watching i wouldnt go to seaworld, but i dont have money for both so the closest i get is shamu cam. I'm just saying its wrong to take the ones that were wild from their families and put them in a tank. The ones born in seaworld are fine.

@ALoveForOrcas I am not getting your point, what is your point? And in most places whale watching is cheaper than going to SeaWorld. And SeaWorld is no longer taking animals from the wild, they haven't for many years. Your saying the whales born at SeaWorld are 'fine' in what way are the ones who were taken from the wild not fine? I'm not trying to be argumentative (well not totally anyway lol) I'm just trying to understand what it is you are trying to say.

You're an idiot killer whales are one of the safest wild animals in the world. They have never killed a human in the wild, look it up. I know a woman who did her PHD on them and she goes swimming with them everyday, she's still alive, the orca have never attacked her or threatened her once. Do your research before you write a stupid fucking song that's not even funny.
