I too have watched many times and love seeing the ears flying, the mouth open to catch cold pieces of snow. It's a joy to see Pukka having the time of his life with his Person. He doesn't "ski" like Merle who made his body a sled, rather choosing to leap into the drifts. Thanks for all the update posts, thinking of all your fans! Ellen

That is lovely Ted! Such beautiful country you and Pukka live in! How is it that Pukka's feet don't get too cold? My shepherd gets cold in the snow and we were thinking about getting her some booties. My other dog Jake is a northern breed and he never gets cold.  Maybe labs are more like the northern breeds?

Thanks for sending this, Ted. Didn't Merle used to 'ski' by splaying out his paws and going for it? Pukka seems to be more of a cross-country skiier, bounding across the landscape. Not an ounce of fat on that dog! If there's such a thing as retroactive reincarnation, I want to come back as one of your dogs..

Dear Ted,

Inspiration felt; from a Lab lover. Oh, Ted, how I regret the neglect shown to my beloved Lab, Blazer. She died at 12 of cancer; you sent regrets. I loved her, however; I didn't allow her to swim in a lake, or take her snow skiing, or walk her on a daily basis when I moved to Birmingham. Blazer did have run of the neighborhood while in Tennessee and California. I loved my Lab, and have not replaced her. repondez, sil vous plait.
