When this movie finished in my living room I was holding back tears and I couldn't move or think strait or even talk. My mind was so upset and I got this horrid feeling in my stomach from the effect this movie had on me. It's one of the greatest movies ever made.
I found a bit difficult to cry or feel the slightest bit emotional because of how naive Bruno is. It may be a bit sad but...even without the foresight we would have had nowadays, there was clear evidence that the camp is not a pleasant place.
Whenever this movie was over. It was like a dam bursting through my eyes.DX I was told what was going to happen 5 times and read the book, but still wasn't prepared.
can i ask, who dies in the movie, im still starting to read the book and ive never watched the movie, everyone says its so sad, im reading it in my english class , so i wanna know who dies, thanks.
this is so sad. i don't know what to say. i was crying the whole time at the end. it's unbelievable that this had to happen to more than 6 millions of people. i'm so sorry for every single one. terrible.
The holocaust yarn effectively died at the 1988 Ernst Zundel trial where it was skillfully debunked in a court of law. Unfortunately nature makes a lot of people too dim to register the truth properly when they've been brainwashed ever since childhood. Watch on youtube "The Great Holocaust Trial" video series which shows the trial footage. Jews have already been forced to admit that 75% of their original holocaust stories were fantastic lies so now they only need to admit to the final 25%.
If you're asking What is a holocaust, the Germans used them to kill their enemies... They're like showers but full of gas. They are mentioned in this film.
@524Coolgirl no, that's not exactly it. holocaust is the whole thing that happened to the jews in the 2nd WW. it's the assassination of more than 6 millions of people.
the book was good. i was lik wtf hes not a jew! dont kill him! dont kill teh jews either! wats wrong with u ppl! lol i got so into it! i need 2 c this movie!
I love the soundtrack and the book and the movie. It's a very beautiful story! I saw the movie first and had tears in my eyes at the ending, but when I read the book (I knew the ending so I was prepared) I was still suprised by the ending because of the way John Boyne writes it. And during the movie I had goosebumps almost all the time. The effect of the soundtrack made the movie very special.
I have read the book and I also saw the movie. I personally think that the book is better cuz gives you more information. But I guess they dont put so much info in the movie because they only have a certain amount of time. Anyways, both of them are great! The movie had me crying in the end. It's such a sweet story.
Ah. I want to see this movie. I read it in English at the start of last year. I only found out recently that it was made into a movie. I need to see this!!
We had to watch it in History class, and because everyone was talking about it, I knew it was going to be sad. In the beginning, when they're playing like their airplanes, I was crying. I cried through the ENTIRE movie.
@Uchiha2509 i'm afraid there's not only aushwitz. this film is set in germany, so it can't be the concentration camp of aushwitz because aushwitz is in poland. *SMARTYPANTS*
I watched that movie in my english class...it was a very good movie. The end was really disturbing though. I dont know if I'll ever be able to get that out of my head...
this has to be without a doubt the most disturbing, nay the most upsetting film in the whole entire planet! i watched it last night and i cried so much! :'( xXx i cant beileve this is what germans attually did to jews, its unbelieveable,

any1 know when the dvd will come out? my english class just finishes the book and my teacher said we could watch the movie as soon as it came out on dvd?
the author said it was inspired by a picture he saw of 2 boys sitting on opposite sides of a fence. idk, it could be true. or maybe the author just created it.
tthis book was one of the best novels i have ever read!!! i would definately give it a 10!!! i read it within 2 hours!!! it definately was an eye opener on how serious the holocaust was!!!
