  • Kindle 3 does have a "reflow" option when you are using the web browser. It is called "Article mode" and also allows you to change the font size. You can find it the main menu.

  • Its a FREAKING READER!!!! Why the hell should you care about the browser?! Its not iPad to surf the web... u should care ONLY about the reading and the screen! WTF?! :D

  • The nook is annoying because of the lcd touchscreen that drains battery (screen shuts down to save battery meaning you have to "wake it up" to have access to controls again. Kindle is bad because it's defective. Even the showroom model in best buy does not work. Sony is the best, but the price is much higher (though you get what you pay for). I'll chose the sony reader. Sony would be perfect if there was a switch to turn off the touch screen (It's very sensitive).

  • WiFi should work in any country.

  • wow thank you so much for this :)

the only thing i'm not sure of now is if with the wifi and 3G you have access to every web page or do they have limitations? if you could answer me i'll be considering making you a statue =) thanks again

  • @pinkpanthercool If you buy Kindle in USA there seems to be no restriction on 3g internet use, Sony and Nook limit internet to only wifi, except their respective book shops, As far as which websites, I did not browse enough to find any, but you will be limited by their ability to show different fonts or process scripts and frames.

  • @the3onna oh i see, thank you :)

I'm from Chile so do you think or know if the wifi will work outside the US? will I have to pay for it? I looked in the sony webpage since i'm interested in the 950 but it only appeared information about the ebook store, which I do not have access to, but nothing about the rest of the web.

  • This is definitely a sales pitch for kindle. Kindle is good if you want e-ink browser, however I believe that as far as books are concerned it is limited to amazon, and if you want anything else you need to send it to amazon for conversion. All she talked about is kindle, and this video took me right to a kindle add.

  • Thank you, though if Amazon using this video to promote their Kindle, they owe me money:)

You are wrong about the books on Kindle, you can put your own, free conversion software Calibre is available for both PC and Macs to convert many formats to Kindle supported .mobi.

The only limitation is DRM books, those are of course only from Amazon, since Kindle does not support Adobe Digital Edition encryption for .epub format, or epub format itself.

  • it was great review for people who need to read books in multiple languages

  • I'd love to see how the sony works when flashed with russian firmware for Cyrillic support.

  • Thnks for your review, it would be great if you do the same for reading books (same book for all) and also how these devices behave with PDF?
