It's a bunch of pictures. Look at the grass while watching it. See how it moves? That's due to the very slight movement of the camera. So they took pictures of different lights on, and put it all together into this. =D

Not nearly as original or as sophisticated as the 1994 Xmas light show by Mike Folkenroth who played all his own music and choreographed the lights with individual computer commands. Flashier perhaps, but not as good. Check the partial video of Mike's show, also on You Tube video.

for 39 bucks. I bought 2 and hooked it up to our radio. It works awsome the lights go in step with the music. My neighbors are all buying them. I looked into light o rama and its way to expensive plus you have to program it this is automatic

In case you haven't noticed, this is done with stop-action cinematography.

The easiest way to tell you're seeing stop-action is by watching an inanimate object in the foreground. In this case, watch the detail along the side of the road in the foreground. You should spot it pretty quickly. Objects "moving around." Probably due to the wind blowing.

He worked for a movie production company and he had a program on his computer you can set up lights to blink and flash at a programmed cycle. You can buy the program and equipment, but it'll cost you well over 100,000 dollars.
