@thepolacek Thanks. Though, I should point out, we do not have the clock on slowest, we just have it on the default setting, which is halfway between slowest and fastest. On the slowest setting, the scores would me much higher for both teams. Check out the other video (same title but with "2nd attempt" added).

@DemomanX614 I am not sure; we do not like using any codes other than "big head" (which does not affect the game play at all) and "show shot %" (which also does not affect game play). With the goal tending code, the game would not be as fun or challenging.

It just that the game will say I goal tend when it wants to and then it will say goal tending after awhile(and this is with the codes off)

Even the CPU players are guilty of it, but one of the developers admitted that they programmed it a certain way to give certain teams an edge against certain teams.

I gave up on using that code, and just used the Rooftop court one only. Tried the Baby players one once, very funny.

i love this on pc version. it was mainly 3 player battles, and i sometimes wish there was a tag mode like in nba jam. [im usually on the blue by myself vs 2 good players]

Tag mode would be nice for three player games. I am not a fan of using it against the CPU though, because playing with a CPU drone against the CPU drones is a good challenge (not to win, which should be a given, but to play well and win by a large number).

maybe set the comps on max diff? and win by 150...can be done...no cheats, but can use new created characters. you have to use team fire. you can do it on the first game of the season against the grizzleys. you guys dont have to believe this but ive beaten them 284 to 63....once by that much....but everytime i play them in the first match...its over 150. its not that hard...im not hating....its the truth

I was saying that it is impossible to score 284 points on normal clock setting, as you claim to have done. It's literally impossible, as it would require scoring a 3-pointer every 8 seconds. If the computer scored 63, as you said, then you would have to be scoring a 3-pointer every 6 seconds when you have the ball.

We don't put any attribute points on weight.  They are better used elsewhere. I think there are two extra points we could use, but don't. I think it might make the characters slower.

And we used keyboard. You know most keyboards only respond to max 3 keys at any time. So me and my friend can only hold 3 keys together at anytime, so most of the time, we can only run up and down or left and right.

We basically keep the fire by not using the on-fire character to score any point so the fire doesn't go off after 3 shots. And so we can keep goaltending every shot and try to push and push.

Well... Goaltending every shot is a pretty cheap way to shut them out. We don't use that tactic when we play.

This video had one that was an accident (sometimes is just happens without intending), and our follow up video doesn't have any.

It's not difficult to "play defense" if you jsut swat shots with an on fire character and then have the other guy score.

I am not doubting your overall skills in the game, but I think you would have to agree that shutting the opponents out is much more impressive if you don't goaltend their shots, fire or no fire.

In our follow up video we held the computer scoreless for the first half with no goaltending.

this was the best playing i have ever seen on this game. You deserve your own maximum hangtime cabinet. Has midway seen this video? Have you entered into any tourny's? Are you twin galaxy champs? I have been playing this game since 97' and break it out once a year and play non stop for a month. I have never beaten it by more than 20 points even on the easiest setting. Did you use any cheats?

Thanks! No cheats were used. The flash at the beginning indicates that we rotated the joystick at the code select screen. All that does is show the shot percentage when a jump shot is releleased (It temporarily replaces the quarter number above the game clock).

Why so many haters on here? Do you have any idea how hard it is to do what these guys did? I played the crap out of Hangtime (and did quite well in the arcades) and would blow people out by about 50 points at times. But near 100 points? Jesus.

The AI, just like in all midway games, gets ridiculously cheap once you start really doing well in this game, which is what makes this feat even more impressive.

Stop the hating people, this was fun to watch and a true display of skill.
