I saw Jackson a few moths ago in St. Louis. Great concert, but I couldn't believe how rowdy and disrespectful the crowd was... He should probably do like dylan, not take requests.....
Too bad someone has to inject themselves into the song by screaming his name at the predictable spot. I feel sorry for him & the audience when stuff like that disrupts the flow.
That lady was pretty belligerent all night, but it tells volumes about his abilities as a performer, to just shrug it off. It was an amazing show, someone in the audience knew that it was his birthday, so we all sang him the birthday song. Afterwords he thanked us and shared an anecdote about how he thought somebody had told him "happy birthday" at a show. He was confused because it wasnt his birthday. The fan responded with "no, happy earthday!". And he had to check his ego.
I was so happy that we were lucky enough to get it. He did mention, right after Sky B&B and before the Pretender that they had only played it once in the last year.. He was complimenting his band.. Its a beautiful song.
wow. he did not do this song on the rest of the tour as far as i know -- someone must have been really persistent? AWESOME, i love this song. Sounds like he still had his cold, i saw him on 10/29 in Dallas.

Thats interesting...here in oz, he is rightly/greatly respected...total silence and standing ovations at random times - even for new songs!
