  • Very cool, extremely talented.

  • sounds really nice thanks

  • sounds awful

  • um you actually named a song named jessica and that is my name

  • Very unique. Very cool.

  • lol at fat man

  • i play an electric dulcimer in a band. people love it. i can play what i'm thinking with it.

  • wtf did you make that yourself deep in the wilderness for a WEAPON?? because i bet you could stab some1 with that pretty hard, it would be like 300 all over again!

  • nice job

  • Well, you ain't Dickey, but neither is anyone else, but you are still pretty talented.

  • lol it looks like the sniper rifle from halo ^_^

  • Now that's not a bad idea...hmmmmm......

  • wtf is that thing?

  • It's a solid-body electric mountain dulcimer. I made the body and transplanted the electronics from a Line 6 Variax 300 into it.

  • Awesome! I've been trying to find an electric dulcimer or an electric auto harp. I love most every style of music from Hendrix to spontaneous worship & praise. I love the sound you were able to create with this!

How about trying the Hendrix version of the star Spangled Banner? : )

THANKS for sharing what can be done with going around the corner to see what you can see...or in this case, hear what you can play!

  • Aahhh, Hendrix's 'Banner is one of my specialties. I have performed it at a few dulcimer festivals that have fireworks on Fir. or Sat. nights.

  • Cool but it looks uncomfortable

  • well, those kind of guitars are usually played horzontally, across the lap or on a stand, rather than vertically.

It's a bit more difficult playing standing up, but not impossible.

  • Very nice, but i wish you played the whole song :P

  • Focus the camera, please. Let us see those darting digits of dazzle! And also the cool ax.

  • Sorry -- shot on a webcam with cruddy framerate. Hoping to invest in a vid cam soon. Thanks!

  • Am I impressed! Glad I share those genes!

  • Oh my God! You can do that on a dulcimer? I've got to get me one of those? Where are you teaching next?

  • You can order them at the website listed at the end of the video. I will be at the Manitou Springs Dulcimer Fest on the weekend of Aug. 25th
