it feels very calculated. It looks expressive, It sounds expressive, but it feels very calculated. You can't fake having soul in your music, it either comes from within, or you're not really doing it right.

However the performance itself was spot on. And she does have a wonderful voice.

I have to admit this girl is BAD! Like with Tamyra Gray... She went all showtime at the apollo on the song and I actually stopped it and looked for something else. But Miss Santos killed this and she is sooooooooo serious. Surprised I never heard of her before...Must be a states this. No copycat. Just straight RAW talent. Class act I definitely agree

No disrespect to Tamyra, but Aicelle has better voice control (for example, notice Tamyra's weak vibrato as her only way to sustain a melody note), and Aicelle also shows a better mastery of the harmonic complexities of the tune (notice: Aicelle's dipping into melodic variations, several times, where Tamyra does nothing more than hang on to the melody note in a weak way). Aicelle is clearly the superior artist. Just my 2 cents!

You really will not understand if you're bias, one-sided and only appreciate your idol's version. It is very evident that the last part of both version is different. This version gives more style at the closing of the song and expanded it in a polished way than that of Tamyra's.
