Combat record proves if vehicle performs as it should or better. Take the royal navy frigates for example in 1983 the crews found out they were in ships that didnt work well for modern combat and hills on the islands caused problems for aiming AA weapons. Theirs lots of new things that happen in a new war that the designers or crews never thaught of such as massive IEDs and the enemy letting heavy armor pas so they can destroy the refuling trucks behind.
I've used Warriors for 11 years and I'm glad to see its fantastic hull is getting a proper turrent at last. The original one was terrible. Rumour said the original turrent was a prototype to test the hull with the RARDEN cannon, and they kept it rather than finishing the job. The ergonomics were useless. For example, when the hatch was closed, and the commander had his helmet on, it was very difficult to see through the sight without contorting your spin!!
Yes! Proven my dad wrong lol. And he writes manuals on how to fit weapon systems on the warrior and more. He didn't believe me when I said they were getting and armour upgrade.
The Warrior rivals the Bradley, not the top of the line tracked APCs like the Swedish CV90 or the German Puma. Still, its durable and does its job, I guess.
@Lobos222 You can talk about the specifacations of an IFV till your blue in the face. But untill that IFV has seen combat you dont know how well it will perform. The Warrior has a great combat record over the past 20 or so years, yes it has some weaknesses which have been identified and so they can be changed and make it even better. The Bradley has had a lot of issues and so the US army are looking for a replacment. Nobody knows what the puma can do well, what issues it may have. See my point?
why would we use the cv90 as the fres scout? bigger size? also does anyone know whether they will reposition the engine to the rear for the cavalry variant?
music?

I just doubt a single 40mm autocannon is enough for independent missions.

@CelestialVulpes Well, how many should it have and why?

@SAsgarters
A T-55 made from pig iron can withstand it.

@CelestialVulpes Doesn't answer my question.

@CelestialVulpes The old 30mm cannon took out russian MBT's in both Iraq wars, the 40mm also has airburst for taking out low aircraft.

As a pure scout something about the size of a BMP-3 is plenty.

@Lobos222 Niether one of those APCs has a large enough combat record to be compared to the Warrior or even the Bradley.
Aliasify 1 year ago
@Aliasify
A combat record doesnt make the armor thickness go up, the engine perform better or etc etc.
If combat record was everything we would still be using outdated Sherman tanks or similar...

That's odd, there are less comments in this video despite the 3600 views.Looks like nobody wants to share any piece of advice.
