  • Anyone else notice they use the same exact phones?

  • @Renoronq10 NO

  • Thumbs up for wasting your battery

  • THUMBS UP IF U SAW UR PHONE!!

  • jrj4u.com

  • Wow... I can't believe they're drinking green tea! I mean like... GREEN TEA!!! That's so amazing!

  • well u have to use a microwaveable pop corn for this to work.. if u use an ordinary pop corn, ull just gonna w8 forever. lol!!

  • @xyll0yd214 Abraham Glezerman made the videos and he saids why and how.

  • So who was holding the IR light?

  • they got all the same models of cellphone?

  • Хм и что теперь?)))))

  • lol they sound like the say jesus

  • fuck the japanese

  • who started this "rumor"?xD

  • So Fake -.-

  • Comment removed

  • il sont des réseau 4g ? pour sa ou quoi ?

  • fake and gay

  • ur tits r fake and gay? I think so u loser

  • wow ur a douche bag

  • dont need to state the obvious then get your panties in a bunch people lol

  • It dont work. People have done fake movies to the internet. To pop popcorn it needs more than phones. A microvave. Because raditation of phones doesnt have enought to pop popcorns. If that worked then you made fake with that you putted something hot under the table so that they could pop. Or something else...

  • dont work=[

  • I saw this on Urban Legends, a tv show that exposes myths, they found out that it was false and that it was some kind of commercial for telephones. Good acting though

  • Cellphones aren't magic and emit far less EM radiation than your car. You can see that this video is bullshit because the group with only three phones takes just as long to "pop" the kernels as the groups with four. More to the point, even a microwave takes longer than three seconds to pop popcorn.

  • @tmcoolen ACTUALLY IS WAS FIVE

  • Is it a scam?

i think they use the heater under the desk.

  • lol

THIS IS A HOAX... NOT REAL

THE POPCORN IS PUT THERE AND THE CORN IS DIGITALLY REMOVED FROM THE VIDEO

    Fuck you all

  • @punpanonicus Digitally Removed? One sees something astonishing on video and of course it had to of been edited or "digitally removed". How about the most logical explanation... a microwave's magnetron hidden under the tables.

  • @DigiEncryption OK...mister know-it-all... SORRY!!! I just said it was digitally removed because the MAN WHO CREATED THIS ADVERTISING COMMERCIAL SAID SO! Just that... BUT NO!!! IT'S SURELLY A MICROWAVE!!! YUP!

Search: "Internet cell phone popcorn HOAX - secret revealed" or watch here: ..../watch?v=KsoVEeJg3TY

  • true

  • i dont know i dont think its real because if it was real no one would spend money on buying microwaves and make popcorn using cell phones!!!

  • this is going to be my grade 8 science fair project >:P

  • shenanigans

  • Lets all sit around a table with an unshielded magnetron running under it... Yay! All these people have probably just irradiated their genitals making these vids. Especially the first group, they had to be all but straddling the damn thing. I wouldn't want my junk that close to an assembled and closed microwave that was running. Awesome viral vid though... meme classic... I admit, I was almost buying it when it first came out...

  • this is so fake i tryed it and it wont work

  • The hoax is made by using the magnetron of a microwave oven. It is removed from the oven while still keeping all the connections attached, and placed one feet under a table pointing upward. Directly above on top of the table is where you would place the corn, set the microwave oven to 15 seconds, after which time the corn will pop. Why are the table or the phones not destroyed? It's the same as when you put food in the microwave and your plastic container is not destroyed.

  • oh dem asians!

  • so to make it work you put cellphones in a table around corn and you call each cellphone with other phones?

  • Are u so stupid to belive that? Take a microwave take out the magnet put under the tabel, put to count down on 30sec put ur cellphone on the table, and a corn, and then it will work, Geeshhee!!

  • so its fake or real??

seems very fake cuz the waves cant be that strong

  • did you do it yourself?

  • Yea, they are not so strong. You have absolutely right on that.

  • that is so fake

  • one warning: dismantled microwave under the table = CANCER

  • Comment removed

  • Fake

  • ITS REAL the radiation from the cell phones make it pop i ve tried it

  • omfg i wanna do thisss!

  • please this is FAKE... dont believe me then try it your self. IF this was true we would all be dead from friing our brains. lol Cell phones would be the end of mankind as we know it!

  • There are studies that show that people who have been using cell phones under the age of 20, have 5 times more chance to develop cancer.

Who knows. It might kill us all :D

  • what is the P value in those studies?

  • holy shit... i wonder if you could do it with a lighter..

  • no... you can't

  • Tape them to your face!

  • Cell phones transmit in the band between 800 - 900 Mhz. This is very close to the frequency used in microwave ovens (915 Mhz).

The microwave transmitters in the cell phones are heating the water inside the popcorn kernels, just as you would get with microwave popcorn.

  • U fail, mythbusters allready as shoot this myth to pices XD

  • BUSTED!!

  • tis myth is effin' busted!!

  • its fake, its a sneaky advertisement scheme to try and het you to buy headsets

  • hi demi more's facebook send me here.

  • there is heat under the table

  • I doubt there's anything under the able. It's easier just to add computer animation afterwards. It's interesting how all the kernels pop directly upwards.

Another thought is, who would make a video out of a collection od people around the world? How do these people know each other, and who would have them do the same experiment and then compile them into one video? I don't think I've ever seen a video put together like that. Do you know people in many countries? I don't.

  • so0o, your saying, you've never seen a compilation?

  • This video definately gets one to think about the safety of cell phones. Especially given that researchers currently believe that cell phones can cause cancer. Check out more in my blog at techtify.blogspot.

  • It does look like a special effect especially the last one

  • see the thing that hide under the table..

  • How's that possible that you able to "SEE THE THING" hide under the table ?

    What's the " thing " u talking about ?

  • look at the beggening

  • demi moore send here too (idk why everybody sais that haha)

  • Yes, Demi Moore sent this...thank you...please send me a YT friend invite...get to know me, you know.

  • bull. there's probably heat under the table

  • heat, doesnt pop popcorn.. doesnt contribute to it, it just gets released from the acceleration of the particles

  • "heat, doesnt pop popcorn."

Heat does pop popcorn (not radiation). The water inside the kernel heats up and expands, and the pressure pushes outward until the pressure is released. Radiation would have to work for some time to heat the corn up enough to pop it. This is so fake.

  • I want try this now.

  • demi moore sent me here tooo hahahaha

  • Perhaps this explains all the airheads in the world LOL..their brains are fried. Probably explains demi and moons goofy looks and voices.

  • ahahahahahaaa

  • lmao demi moore sent me here too

  • Yea I've tried it as well with 5 cells, and nothing.

  • demi moore sent me here too.

  • lol demi moore sent me here

  • Soleil Moon Frye sent me.

  • This was proven to be a hoax..

  • This is a publicity stunt folks. Not real. Demi Moore tweeted it saying "What is it doing to our brains?" lol. Hello Demi!

  • It's not!

  • This not good

  • We tried this is in science class today and we used this exact same video as an example. We used 15 cell phones and it didn't work. There was a heating device under the table in this video(:

  • this is fake they used special affects -_-

  • I just heard a lecture from my physics professor saying these videos are fake.

  • i tried this and it doesnt work and i used five phones, all cell

  • fake mythbusters proves it

  • No they didn't. It was an advertising hoax.

  • its faked you morons lol still a cool vid

  • ure fucken stupid theres no way they can fake it

  • actually, it got on the news a few years ago...there's a heater under the table.

  • trust me there are plenty ways to fake it all they would need to do is drop a peice of popcorn and play the portion in reverse at the right fram and it would look totaly beleivable and then there could be greenscreen or even a fake peice of popcorn :P

  • truly amazing, blow dryer under the table i find it unbelivable that you are actually attempting this yourselves, its just not going to happen

  • OMG, and they're going to try to tell me these things aren't putting all kinds of cancer in our bodies?

  • lol,, omg what a great party game!! did you notice the very last clip,, the guy looked like BORAT!! lmao

  • lmfao.

    helllllll yeah

  • the girl with the green layered has my moms old cell phone. Seh has the LG VU now. Accept instead of white, my moms phone was black and the red spot was orange.

  • omg lol chinese peoples!!

  • lol!!!!! it works!!

  • wow it looks ace i must try it with some friends

  • wtf all of them have 2 phones lol

  • for it to work you need a piece of crap japanese cell phone

  • I think it is funny how this is still a top search term under the word popcorn!

  • THE SECRET:

You have to put your phone in the microwave for 45 secs on high first.

  • I just did it. my phone is burnt up now

  • nice...now everyone who saw this is gonna do it and their cell phones will burst into flames. thankfully im not stupid enough to do that. =P

  • its the infrared!

    LOL

  • I think it is fake too plus if you ate it that would be like not good for you at all! HELLO!!

  • this is fake

  • Wow this is crazy!!!

  • folks, doesn't anybody check out snopes, for instance ? it's simply edited - they just dropped already cooked popcorn into the frame. Aroudn :25, if you stop/start, you can see the 'popped' corn appears nowhere near any of the kernels. cool effect , though. Remember kids, if the vid is too amazing to believe, there's a reason for that.

  • They're drinking....orange juice?

  • have you ever heard of a mix drink... or a screwdriver??

  • pretty good editing, but still it's fake

  • fuck you its a luy

  • lyg fucking little bitches

    beyotch

  • it's real you stupid fuck ups!

  • They use the same cell phone twice, once in Japan (the first one) and the third one.

And why are all the videos with people sitting around a table? Plus (not really but) all the videos have white walls.

  • Does this really work?

  • no man its a luy today i saw a program about this video and its a computer trick

  • All they did was take apart a microwave and stuck the device that emits the waves under the table. Its a fun trick to freak out your friends

  • yo u dnt think tht cocould idk... make ppls blood boil and blow junk up

  • its fake not even 100 cell phones will work,ok so it has maybe 1,000,000 x less that a microwave and a microwave takes over a minute to pop even the first cernal

  • This film is true, the older the higher intensity of mobile phone radiation, I surprisingly

  • Comment removed

  • F.A.K.E.!!!

  • did you know that your video featured on the info-shock tv programme

  • DOES THIS WORK????

  • I will try this when we had a popcorn. It looks fun!

  • Its worked

  • its not fake u dumb fuck i did it before so shut the fuck up

  • Lol.... Smoke89000 shut up... It's fake...

  • instead of talking bullshit, fucking use your head a bit.

HOW THEY DO IT: Take apart a microwave. take a special piece from it. The piece which generates waves. Put it under a table, activate it. and the popcorn will pop. easy...

  • which generate waves, pop it, easy? It takes over a minute to pop popcorn inside the actual oven. YOu can use your head a bit and google it. First hit is CNN showing how they made the videos.

  • you obviously dont know how a microwave works...

Let me give you a little lesson:

The more things you put in a microwave, the longer it takes to "cook". Put one little corn in there, it will pop in no time...

Check my previous comment. Tells you how to do it...

    Dont hurt yourself...

  • i know how a microwave works, even if you put 1 kernel in there, it still takes over 45 seconds. And if you use your method, then you deserve whatever happens to you.

  • I never said I tryed it. And I never will try it. I got better things in life to do...

  • "I never said I tryed it. And I never will try it. I got better things in life to do..."

Like trolling YouTube videos trying to look like a smartass, huh?

  • "instead of talking bullshit, fucking use your head a bit.

HOW THEY DO IT: Take apart a microwave. take a special piece from it. The piece which generates waves. Put it under a table, activate it. and the popcorn will pop. easy..."

    Nope, not even.

They did this with video compositing.

  • what a liar

  • lmao smoke because of the anger I will give u a thumbs up.. oh and by the wayit works with atleast 22 phones :)

  • WHOAH!!! COOL STUFF MAN!

  • It's fake, they dropped the popcorn from above and edited out the kernel. Cell phones give off a completely different spectrum of waves than microwaves do. The waves produced by cell phones do not create a vibration in water molecules, as microwaves do. The heat in microwaves is generated by the friction between the vibrating water molecules. Simply watch the video disproving this video, or try it yourself if you don't believe me. I favorited this to figure out just how smart my friends were.

  • nicely said mattmnmattc

    tell those wankers

  • wow this is so fake. first of all the graphics are really fake. the popcorn kernels don't jump that high. they need to fry in some fatty mixture(oil/butter). Cell phones do give off microwaves, but nowhere near enough to even heat up the kernels let alone pop them. and yes they need to be heated they don't just magically explode from "waves" from the cellphones. the water inside the kernel turns to steam causing the kernel to explode.

  • Haha worked when I tried it!!!

  • OMG THAT IS LOL!!!

  • doesnt work... and wtf are they saying?

  • we tried this in my science class , it didn ' t work ):

  • thats so unture it doesnt work!!!!!!!!

  • i can pop corn with my mind

  • thats soo cool!!!

  • thats s0 creepy

  • why does the vibrate makes a diff?

  • Did you make sure it was on vibrate. It only works if your phones are on vibrate.

  • im afraid of a popcorn going into my nose hole when it pops so im not doing it.

  • LOL

  • It works, but you have to use Nokia phones... Sony Ericsson's works for changing the diapers and LG's for taking the dog out.

  • ummmm no it does not it was on the news a long long long time ago about them faking it. they held a lighter under the table

  • I was just kidding ;-)

  • suree u were hahaha

  • hahah nice

    i have to try that

  • they got some kind of heat underneath the table... i think

  • I just checked snopes, its fake

  • people it reall works!

  • obviously fake

  • fake... why are you people so gullible?

  • cancer-licious =3=
