Hey, what would you say is the best physical class in the game? From what I've read, I'm supposing either Dark Knight, Samurai, or Dragoon.

really it all depends on the player, played all 3 jobs and in every party I've hit the hardest on each job. In end game however, when you've maxed out your level to 75, Samurai has better merit moves, Dark Knights have the highest str and atk in the game. Samurai gain tp to use ws faster, and dragoon is a little more complex, since they can do good in pt's and in solo depending on their sub jobs, not to mention drg has piercing dmg., All 3 are great though.

Warrior is good for tanking and damage, Monk is best DOT melee, Samurai is good in skillchaining parties, Dragoon can do some elemental damage with dragoon pet, Dark Knight can do a lot of spike damage, they're really situational, but none is "best".

i'm a very big fan of FFXI and i would say that its very worth it playing and paying it monthly. graphics and gameplay is hella good. i've tried WoW wich cost me $15+ and wasnt worth it and other games that have horrible game play and graphics. i play FFXI on either my xbox360 wich have better controlling but need keyboard or i play on pc but need to by the pc controllers. the game is worth it and its all about making friends and patience and tactics.Good Luck On the Game.Peace

i've played the game , and it is slooooooow paced, or was it just my monk's playstyle? i got to level 17 after 5 days before i ran out of patience. are other classes fighting faster or something? cause i fell asleep at one point while whacking a miniature ram-dinosaur

at level 70 or so you begin to appreciate the slower paced style as its more balanced.. as for monk, monk becomes 1 of the fastest classes in teh game in attacking speed. You didn't give the game enough time, its not really addicting till lvl 30-50 or so which is when u find out why u love it.

the higher your level, the more gear you can wear, your mnk actualyl gets its 1st haste equip at leve; 18 lol. But you stopped playing at 17? you havent even experienced the real game yet lol.

the low levels are hard though dont get me wrong, but its gotten alot better since original release.

well i got lvl 69 on my drg, and /sam kicks ass cuz i find myself ws like twice a fight, i still like /war though, mainly for better attcks, which is good in dynamis, but at lvl 60 when i got my af helm, i actually soloed very tough mobs, so i was amazed to find the incredible soloing skills of drg.

Sorry to say but this is just you using your special attack over and over again on countless badguys. Stab stab stab dragon breath, next badguy stab stab stab dragon, next badguy, stab stab stab! That's all it is for two minutes. As for the WoW FFXI debate, they both have their qualities. Wow is more fun for every level because you don't HAVE to be level 65, but FFXI is more realistic and a calm game to play, and fun when you hit level 75.
