It's a wonderful coincidence that I stumbled upon this new vid - even though I subscribe to your channel and wasn't notified by Youtube [Gah!] . A friend of mine has waistlength dark-brown/black hair. She dyed it black and is now trying to get it back to her original dark brown colour, and without bleaching it, or any other hair dye. You seem to be the right person to ask for advice!!! Do you have any pearls you'd like to share?
Sadly there is no tricks really.. I grew out the dye, meaning I put up with different colored roots for a while. In my case natural color (blackbrown) and dye were not too far apart. Dye fades a bit over time and even more over the years...so the most gentle way for the hair would be to simply be persistent and grow it out.
I always say - dyeing your hair can be a stupid decision made within minutes...but it will take years to get rid of color and possible damage. I know I have "sinned" and I do not complain about the punishment...it tought me something :)
How much the dye will fade depends on how often it was used, what brand etc...
