Actually no, Apple attacked Microsoft, PCs and Windows to make a profit. They achieved little and only got 2% of the Market than lost 1%. Then Apple made it so Windows can run a Mac, when Apple was attacking all versions of Microsoft. A lot of people are switching to the Mac because they have an iPhone, iPad or iPod. In my opinion they are crap so I don't bother using them. Apple makes expensive products that in the end suck.

Another reason is that they come complete with everything integrated inside. They come with a proper no-nonsense after sales service, customer support and comprehensive warranty. Everything that goes into an Apple computer is designed not to pollute the environment during recycling. They don't cut corners and that costs money.

Until around 2 time when Quad Hd comes into play and then I will buy a proper 4k/Quad HD monitor... again.... 3840 x 1080... you lose.

I use an imac in music studios usually so I would know. and Open source it is if you know what to do but that's minor, both are operating systems that are similar nor greater than each other. Apple buy components off other companies such as Samsung, which they then go on to sue for other reasons yet still buy their components. Also they put the computer together and charge for that and then just install OSX onto their system... Macs are PC's... If someone installs OS X on their Non-Apple machine it doesn't make their copy illegal, as they could've bought it from a store like BestBuy or the Apple store (assuming they sell it there). I tried windows PCs in school, and outside of school, the ones in school were so locked down i could barely do anything, and only had educational stuff. Using school as an example for all of a certain computer type is not fair. And this was likely years ago, not using modern macs, the computers at my school used windows 95, so i doubt your school would be much different on macs

Basing all computing experience on school computers makes little sense (you cant play games on them either, or install things). Another reason is that they come complete with everything integrated inside. They come with a proper no-nonsense after sales service, customer support and comprehensive warranty. Everything that goes into an Apple computer is designed not to pollute the environment during recycling. They don't cut corners and that costs money.

@IgnorantPCFanboys The Cheapest imac is $1,199, my pc was just about $1,700, but if I were to spend $1,199 the same as the cheapest imac I could make a pc with a better cpu and better video card, but there top end imac is about $1,999 standard without any upgrades... mine is better than it with full upgrades and $200 cheaper, however I know how to get my parts cheaper than most people so yeah.

I have 2 of them so I can multitask greater when Video editing, music producing and such... both Full HD... The imacs monitor is good don't get me wrong, but no where near as good as mine....

I still have more pixels... and plus you only need full hd for any thing, 2560 will stretch full hd videos or letter box them greatly and such... I'd rather stick to my 16.9 ratio... Until around 2 time when Quad Hd comes into play and then I will buy a proper 4k/Quad HD monitor... again.... 3840 x 1080... you lose.

I use an imac in music studios usually so I would know. and Open source it is if you know what to do but that's minor, both are operating systems that are similar nor greater than each other. The whole thing I started off with saying is that for the same price I made a PC 2x to even 4x greater than the imac for the same price. imacs are overpriced..pure and simple.

Apple buy components off other companies such as Samsung, which they then go on to sue for other reasons yet still buy their components. Also they put the computer together and charge for that and then just install OSX onto their system... Macs are PC's... Just overpriced for what they are, they are good, but the iMacs are not for the price. Why pay more for less?

If someone installs OS X on their Non-Apple machine it doesn't make their copy illegal, as they could've bought it from a store like BestBuy or the Apple store (assuming they sell it there). @IgnorantPCFanboys Just as the umbrella guy said below, if a person was to spend the same price on a pc as an imac then the pc would kill it, but no one buys pcs for much for some reason since there are many cheaper pcs out for like $500 but imac have a standard $1000+ so you have to spend that as a minimum. Apple imacs cost a lot since apple charge extra since they put it together... I was video editing and used up 10gb of my ram and rendered at 100% of my 4ghz i7 950. imacs lack everything.

I tried windows PCs in school, and outside of school, the ones in school were so locked down i could barely do anything, and only had educational stuff. Using school as an example for all of a certain computer type is not fair. And this was likely years ago, not using modern macs, the computers at my school used windows 95, so i doubt your school would be much different on macs

Basing all computing experience on school computers makes little sense (you cant play games on them either, or install things). If you have only used a mac once or twice in school, thats not really a fair comparison to using windows, which you likely use every day for years and have experience with. Having used both, they are both easy to use for me
