  • Stunning! This is why so many of us in the UK remember her as a very great operatic artist. She gave her roles everything she had in her young days. Is it any wonder that she chose to leave the operatic stage on the early side? It is almost impossible to sing with this burning intensity for many years. Britain's greatest artist!

  • Lovely as usual. Really LOVE her. Once we had her rendition af Händel's Ombra Mai Fu here, but it has now dissappeared. Does anyone know where it went?

  • love it!!! great Baker.

  • This is great! She puts some real feeling in it! A lot different then the version I have on video.

  • Tremenda!!!

  • this is probably the best stuarda i have heard... melody, drama, music, bel canto all is there... And Mackerras conducting bel canto -instead of the usual "nobody" that conducted most of the post-Callas bel canto performances, a proof of how low the great conductors thought of most "bel cantian" singers

This brings so much dignity to the most badly sung composer in the History of music: Donizetti

  • She had the soprano forces!!!!

    Sounds realy splendid.

    Wooooow!

Diffrent then La Stupenda, but amazingly.

Knew she sang A Perfido a lot of times?
