  • this is happening probably nowadays too...but I think Internet is burning the books now, people are not interested in them anymore

  • y la pelicula completa??? where!!! T_T

  • Great!

  • Muchas gracias!!!!

  • Even James Hadley Chase was in the burn. Henry Miller's Plexus. Nabakov's wasn't the Olympia Press edition, thank God. Also in this film Cyril Cusack.

  • long?

  • yes..

  • what? the whole 200 pages or so?

  • its 165 pages....and it wasnt always boring, i mean im not the type of person that likes to read..but it wasnt that bad of a book

  • face the corner.

  • can someone upload the whole movie english

  • I just finished reading this book and i have to say that it is pretty good

  • Ah children, you must read this book, not once but thrice, as well as watching the English version of the movie. It is one of the most important books of all time, and the sad part is that it is all soon coming true, just as you are trapped in the matrix....looking at your wall screens...better stash your books soon!

    MEMORIZE IT!

  • I wonder, the most ironic thing would be if some repressive society someday will burn this book.

  • Indeed, that would certainly be an ironic thing. But you wanna know what's even MORE ironic?? This actually was one of the books burned in the movie!!! (Of course, the movie kinda butchered the book, so I think that that's some darn good symbolism there!!

  • @eisenkreuzmusik This will most likely be the FIRST book burned.

  • man damit...i got 2 read this book this week....(9th grade)...can any1 find the real movie(english)

  • read the book, dammit...

in the movie a main character is absent (the Hound)

  • and Fabin--he's only in one brief scene, I believe.

  • I hated reading that back in tenth grade so I set it on fire :)

  • i have it in english version

  • Note:

page burning at 2:09: "Lolita" by Vladimir Nabokov

page burning at 2:12: "No Orchids for Miss Blandish" by James Hadley Chase (his first novel)

The first time I saw this movie, I was rather amazed to find a copy of MAD being burned alongside other great literary works!

  • im in this play for school! im alice its a little part but oh well!

  • yeah it would be better if the english version was posted as well or instead.

  • Hey, can you post an english version?

  • no need for that, and Truffaut like french version better

he says "are you mad? burn the BOOKS!"

  • Alright, well. I appreciate either way. Thanks for the translation.

  • Can you post the English version?

  • We watched this film in Band Class about a month ago. I missed this part, because we had playing tests that day.

  • the earlier scene with the schopenhauer and nietzsche being thrown around were the most shameful.
