@ckvmx Hey Chris, haven't riddent it yet to make an assessment, however prolly could have rounded off the corners may have made it better I just polishd the outter machine markings off.
@ckvmx Seems to have made a difference in making it easier to pull, not a huge differnce, but before seemed like you could feel the clutch dragging, it seems to have eliminated that dragging feeling in the pull.
I always find it strange that people say Maicos are high-maintenance. My dad's had many Maicos - he owns five right now - and has never gotten a primary chain to the point where it needs replacement. Just change the oil a LOT, and don't do anything crazy and they seem to stay in good condition. They also benefit from a good dose of smart design. Unlike Huskies, they use steel plates and basket in the clutch. Every time I drain my Husky's oil, there's half a clutch floating about in it.
@JETZcorp My 82 is high maintaince but the 83 is not. Pretty much everytime I ride the 82 it needs maintaince and always got to tighten the bolts! The bike ran fine I would have never known the primary chain was loose if I didnt take the side case off and check it. These bikes will ride until those chains break and smash the cases. They even run while wearing nice gouge lines into the cases!
@jdirtbiker1 Yes, but Maicos were made just to race so more maintaince is acceptable. Primary chains transfer more power from the engine to the transmission and there is a debate that they also help putting weight on the front wheel because they cluch and crank both turn in the same direction which is why Maicos handle so well.
hey... i watch alot of your video and well i no that your good in mecanique, can you help me i ride a yz 125 and well its been the 2 time i rebuilt the bike and well the same thing hapen. the ground of the spark plug broke and well i loose compresion!! if you have any idea of what douing this. plss help me! thxx!
