I fucking HATED THIS MOVIE! This movie bored the fuck out of me! Almost no action. One of the worst action movies I've ever seen. One of the worst video game movies I've ever seen. And one of the worst movies I've ever seen. PERIOD!

I'm Ukrainian and saw this movie because it had 2 Ukrainian actresses - Mila Kunis and Olga Kurylenko plus I love talented and superhot Mark Wahlberg. I didn't know it was based on self-titled game but I really loved the film

This movie didn't have much action, and that was pretty much what made the game. And there were ONLY 2 bullet time scenes. WTF? That was way too few for my tastes. I get that the whole movie would have been tiresome to be in bullet time every time Max was in a shootout, but a bit more action and less frickin talk were necessary.

I cannot blame the actors, because they work with what they're given and they're told. The only thing in the game storyline that it was hard to believe: After being a hero cop, going undercover with the same face & name. The ending of the movie made it clear that a sequel was intended. But really, are they going to do it with this being such a market flop?

I am not sure why they wanted to re-write and re-make the story. It would have been better to have kept the original story with better actors/actresses.

There are key characters missing (Alfred Wooden, Vladimir Lem, Puncinello etc), the gun dive is horrible (that guy with the machine gun fires like 3 bullets and Max, Mark, whatever manages to fire the same amount of bullets with a Shotgun? And also reload it? Woah Super-man) and the cast doesn't fit the characters at all.
Hell when I 1st saw the trailer I thought ''Damn this movie is gonna be the best I've ever seen'', but once I've seen it I was disappointed... still, it's not so bad as other game based movies like Blood Rayne or Doom...

No he didn't. He made a shitty movie and put MAX PAYNE as a title and the movie was finished. And marky mark WOW Sam Lake should have been max payne because the characters face was modeled by sam lake's face.
You know what the problem would be if they used Sam Lake? 1. He's not an actor and 2. He's scottish, they didn't use his voice for the game just his likeness... James McCaffery did Max's voice in the games and even had a cameo as the FBI agent in the movie... How fucked up would it have been if Max Payne had a scottish accent... i thought the movie was fine though, If i wanted an exact replica of the game. I'd just go play the game...

I love the game. I hate the movie. I don't like John Moore (director) so I wasn't surprised that the movie sucked. In fact since i knew John Moore was directing this, I didn't bother going to the theaters and watching it. I was just that confident that the movie was going to suck... and it did. I watched it through netflix. I'm a fan of the game and I can't wait for MP3. (mp3 lol! max payne 3)

I cannot blame the actors, because they work with what they're given and they're told. The only thing in the game storyline that it was hard to believe: After being a hero cop, going undercover with the same face & name. The ending of the movie made it clear that a sequel was intended. But really, are they going to do it with this being such a market flop?

I am not sure but it seems like some of the people in this video were told what to say. I read about the Max Payne movie and after reading it I decided to not give it a view.
I am not sure why they wanted to re-write and re-make the story. It would have been better to have kept the original story with better actors/actresses.

There are key characters missing (Alfred Wooden, Vladimir Lem, Puncinello etc), the gun dive is horrible (that guy with the machine gun fires like 3 bullets and Max, Mark, whatever manages to fire the same amount of bullets with a Shotgun? And also reload it? Woah Super-man) and the cast doesn't fit the characters at all.

You know what the problem would be if they used Sam Lake? 1. He's not an actor and 2. He's scottish, they didn't use his voice for the game just his likeness... James McCaffery did Max's voice in the games and even had a cameo as the FBI agent in the movie... How fucked up would it have been if Max Payne had a scottish accent... i thought the movie was fine though, If i wanted an exact replica of the game. I'd just go play the game...
