hey is there any way to match the movement of another video? for example i have 2 videos that i want to composite together, one does move (thats the one i will track" and the other doesnt move, but i want it to move like the first one, if that makes sense. is this possible?
because the software allows you to use still images and moving images. In some scenes the camera doesn't have to move/ What if you only have a picture and still want to embed 3d objects in it what would you suggest?
I would suggest the same principle because that's why movies makers use Matte paintings in their movies rather than to build the set or are they wrong as well to
@geldslaw The point of tracking in 3d is to establish movement to make animation of 3d within footage linear. Why would you track still footage? Import the footage as a background in your 3d application (I.e. 3DsMax), create a few planes and work around them... The camera doesn't move so tracking is totally useless. If the camera was to pan then you should track in order to plot your animation in the enviroment without worrying overly about movement compensation.

@geldslaw you don't need to motion track a still image you just render your 3d and put them together in after effects or the likes.
