  • Thanks brother...you saved me a lot of money. Have you tried making spacers to keep the straps even on the kundal?

  • @9:55 I HATE when that happens!

  • @vedicger108 Me too the strap of the tabla snapped and now starts from sarctich!

  • i have bolt tablas with high quality head can i put thread so the resonance can last longer

  • thank you very much for this tutorial! Helped me a lot to successfully rehead my 5" Tabla. I've found the ending of the part 5 very amusing.

I have one question. For my 5" I should tune to E-F. Which note should I reach before I stick the gattas (wooden blocks) in?

  • @sangesi...usually 1 note below what you are tuning to! =)

  • thanks!

  • Great tutorials, sorry about the end :(

  • there is no happy end hahahah

  • esta buena la ayuda pero usas un monton de accesorios y herramientas que en India no usan, es mucho mas sencillo de lo que mostras.

    Respeto.

  • Great tutorial! Thanks man!

The ending of the part 5 with the "happy" sigh is perfectly catching the moment :-)

  • Great tips thanks for sharing -NZ

  • Perfect job, i do the same here in LA but i have created few of my tools. Unfortunately most of my customers want to re-use the rope/string which are stiff and ready to break on pressure. Nice work out though.

  • Save the extra strap for your next Gujri - Tabla ring.

  • do i put like sewing thread or something? what type of thread?

  • sewing thread 5 or 6 folds twist it as you put it in.

  • Nice video. I am sure I would look more like you did at the end of the video with the band popping.

I bought mine from AACM about a year ago and absolutely love the drums.
