  • fixed penalty fines-always tell them you will go to court with them-not that they actually reach court, for them to even be considered by the court reviewers they need some one-a so called"victim"not the pcso's/cops to go against you in court. they throw em out once reviewed unless they have a "victim". these fixed penalties are just squeezing money out of your average common man who is not a criminal. lets be clear these are to make money nothing else.

  • Just for future reference, incase this ever unfortunately happens again, if you research deeper you will discover that it's actually illegal (due to common law I think, but I'm not sure) for a police officer to fine you on the spot in ANY situation. A trial is required no matter what. My mother was fined £70 for parking in a car park for longer than she had paid for, my dad discovered the facts about fining and the fine was dismissed because the Magistrates don't care about something so small.

  • @XxXHeavenElevenXxX Just wanted to add that obviously this law isn't exactly thrown in our faces because they could lose a lot of the money that they're squeezing out of us.

  • You've grown up so much, it's crazy

  • Got 60 quid FPN for no seatbelt 2 days ago, this unfortunately is what 21st century policing is all about, raising as much revenue as possible through fines for victimless offences.

  • @smoky2004

Indeed. It would seem they have created the laws strictly to enforce the fines. Example, I lived in Sydney many years ago when they introduced helmet fines for cyclists. Before you knew it there were UNDERCOVER police stationed at every junction in the city pulling cyclists of their bikes in an aggressive fashion stating that there was an ''Offensive'' on. When I stated I wasn't a criminal I was told that I had now become one as I had broken a law they had developed for $

  • i got 1of those bollocks pieces of paper for rolling on my bike at 1mph through my town when mobility scooters was going past me and people on skate boards doing tricks its bullshit if it was a little girl on a barbie bike would she or her parents get a fine i think not the most fucked up thing is we pay there fucking wages so they can do this too us

why cant they get the real criminals instead of stealing our hard earned cash

we pay taxes we dont deserve this i didnt buy my bike too push it

  • You shouldn't be littering, PERIOD, lol!

  • our justice system is shitt!!! wt was ur outcome of ur fine? x

  • I had a 'run in' with a CSO a while back at the local park. 2 friends and I had a football and were walking through the park gates. I dropped the ball and it bounced off the gate towards the road, so I kicked it through the open gate into the park, where it SKIMMED A SINGLE FLOWER. Unfortunately, an all powerful Community Support Officer walked round the corner at the same time with his cunty little bicycle and attempted to give me loads of shit, before I put him completely in his place. WANKER

  • HAHAHAHAH 18, 000 acres of grafiti, brilliant haha!

I'm with you man, the justice system in our country is utter bullshit!

  • i feel sorry for u man. once i was coming home on the train after 12am. feeling tired so i rested my feet on the empty seat opposite me. the inspectors come on and fine me $168 which is £90. i know its an offense but that amount is crazy for such a petty thing. just an easy way for the government to make money. the other thing is these laws they only enforce them when they feel like it. dw australia has some pretty stupid laws too.

Anyway mate, hope ur able to convince them to cancel the fine!

  • Poor Jordan, I'm Sorry I Got You In Trouble.

I Did Say I'd Give You A Tenner If You Needed Help But You're A Rich Bitch. ;)

  • my friend was in our local town of wakefield, and she had her daughter in a buggy eating quavers crisps and did not notice her drop one on the floor n she got a fine for feeding pigeons!!! its a load of crap init

  • lol i dont get fined for anything in the US. just sayin. knock on wood.

  • I got an £80 pound fine for "criminal damage"

I was doing a bit of gardening for my mum n dad and on the way down to their house I tapped a roadsign with the spade (don't know why, just one of those things) It didn't even leave a scratch but I was given an £80 QUID fine just for that. Ridiculous... Nice video as usual Jordan your definately one of the best youtubers so keep em comin. I'd like to hear your views on teenage pregnancy.

  • Whats wrong with teenage pregnancy? My wife is 19 an we're havin' a baby, so whats the big deal?

  • all to early, proves that she is 19, married and pregnant :S

  • @Holydecipher

Thats different then if she's your wife. I was referring to the stupid 14 year olds who get pregnant and either don't know who the Dad is or he's not involved with the baby. All that Jeremy Kyle type stuff.

Congrats on the baby by the way :)

  • I know this isnt exactly relevant to this video, Although it is a fixed penatly fine, I got on a train yesterday in merseyside (Oh dear, I know) without a ticket because the ticket window was shut, It actually had shutters down over it, I got a £20 fine for not having a ticket and got told that I was lieing? Why would I lie to save myself £1.85? Fucking idiots!

  • I have been in a similiar situation to that. I was in a small town, heading back to Manchester via train. It was a tiny train station, and the booth was closed for 'Repairs' a note on the window said "Please Pay on train"

We got on the train, and nobody asked us for a ticket or to buy one.. Not our fault? We got in Manchester and they where fining people without Tickets! So we walked up the stairs near the mcdoanlds and skipped the guards.

It was just their way of getting money out of us!

  • @FunnyPranks

The exact same thing happened to me a couple of years ago from Chorley to Manchester

  • Well, Germans bear the burden and the blame of two World Wars and often feel like they HAVE to be tolerant, just to show they changed their mindes. But if you speak to... well... common ppl, it's the same narrow-minded shit. At least I pay 42% taxes (think a second about it) to support "needy" ppl, who actually just don't want to work and get one poor stupid child after another. And they still nag, nag, nag, nag all the time how hard the times are for them. I'm sick and tired of it.

  • And I'm very suprised too about what you say how you get stange looks. Every time I come to London (I know London is not Britain) I can

  • shit... pushed wrong button

I can just stand there for hours to look at all the styles, doesn't matter coths, punks or just fashion victims.

  • Britain doesn't suck, the people who live here do. Especially those who work in councils and government. The justice system is led by a bunch of hypocrites, no other word for them. They're more interested in scamming folk for dropping crumbs on a pavement that is full of litter, taking ridiculous amounts of money from them. Meanwhile, round the corner an old lady is robbed and beaten by a gang of yobs. It's a disgrace. Personally, I'd just tell 'em to fuck off.

  • Oh Joe. Just once I wish you would say something nice about this country. Just once. :-)

  • there not a disgrace the more north you go the more deprived and under funded these areas are as all the jobs skanked off to china cos it was cheaper and have been since the earlie 90s now with alot of places theres no work at all within a 100mile radius as for the 80 pound fines yeah they issue them out to burglers and shoplifters my end, i think for rubbish its abit harsh but then towns cant afford to sweep the mess now so should be 20 quid if you show no regard at all with littering ,

  • for a bit of paper i dont think you should pay it specially if its a first offence too if it even qualifys for that ,if it was a beer can or a bag of chips which many like perfer throw rather then drop then thats littering but paper will just get wet and deteriorate within 6 months anyway theres no labour for that so its a rip off your basicly paying on behalf of all the chavy gangs they dont catch

  • You're not going to get in trouble for this video?

Funny you should have this video because just today my friends and I got yelled at and threatened with suspension for playing cards in school while people all around the school bring in firelighters and pot.

A neighbor of mine once tried to get me a felony charge for malicious destruction of property because I knicked his bumper sticker.

  • You are a legend!

  • pffffffffff! thats fucking disgrace! why wud u get fined for such a small piece of litter?! underage people get caught drinkin gin parks, but all they do is take the alcohol away! they get no fine...

  • Jordan for prime minister!

    yeah i think sooo :)

    x

  • lol crazy

my brother got a £300 fine for not paying his tram fair when there was nobody to pay! He got a prison threat on christmas eve cause his payment was late pfft

    Our country sucks!

  • Totally agree...what on earth is going on in our country...!?

  • Also, In Manchester city center, the cops go around on there horses which shit everywhere and they don't have to pick it up.

  • Perfect Example! I totally forgot about that!

  • @DannyReddy17 shall i tell you why they dont have to pick up horse shit, n its a fact....horses are the queens property there for they dont have to pick it up ! pretty stupid i know but its the truth lol!

  • Last year, me and my Dad were in Manchester. He only had small change on him and since the parking ticket machines don't take notes, he had to pay £1.20 in 10s and 5s. 5p fell out of the machine and we didn't notice, and so they tried to fine him 60 quid.

2 years ago when I was nearly 14, I was walking my dog she pooped when we were one road from my house away. The doggy bag I had was ripped, so I ran back home and got a new one. tried to charge a 14 year old £1000.

  • I'm so for your opinions Jordan that I have sent this video to the Prime Ministers office.

  • it is stupid my dad got fined for flicking ash out of the car window its was'nt even the cig just the ash its rite fucking joke

  • My auntie got 3 points on her lisence and a £130 pound fine for having a dog in the front seat which was under control by my cusion...

My mum AND dad got a parking ticket for "feeding the meter" when she put half an hour on and put another half an hour on because we had to wait longer than usual when i was in hospital..

  • The grass is always greener...

  • You initially make a valid point about over zealous litter-police, but it's lost in your arrogance. So what if someone works 9-5 for £6 per hour for the council. You think you are above these people because you are studying law?

Anyway, your rant is nothing but hot air with no substance. People do go to jail for murder and rape, they do not go to jail for littering. Hand picking cases to support your rant doesn't work.

  • You are amazing.. i really hope you get more well known so people can see your videos because I dont think a lot of people actually realize what is happening in England and everything you say is true, it needs to be sorted right now this country is a fucking SHIT HOLE!!!!!!!!!

  • It's a shit hole is it? Well maybe we should crack down on all the litterbugs to try and make it a bit nicer. Oh wait...

  • thats ridiculous !

  • Omg! That's insane! Start a petition!

  • sounds pretty dumb. I mean a find for liter makes sense. I think its like 1000 dollars in califronia for litering. But for a small as piece of paper. How stupid is that! I would contest it in court if I were you.

  • if i wasn't a lady, i'm pretty sure i would have kicked all their asses.

  • if you immagrate where would you move to?

  • Fuck England, it's not even England anymore, I'm not proud to be English.

  • Yet us Americans are frowned upon for still using the death penalty for extreme offenses. You guys have horrible law enforcement programs and systems there in England. That is complete crap for littering? And then there are those people that get away with killing and raping? Those types of people need to be shot, and then you have laws against having guns for protection. You live in a country where the government is shit! Sorry man, it must suck.

  • True, UK police barely enforce the law, they would rather go after littering, then the person killing/raping..... Disgraceful

  • Unbelievable shit.

  • Will you post a video on your outcome of your situation tomorow?

  • 18,000 acres of graffiti :D !!!!!!

  • Gosh! That's sad.

"your likely to get abuse if you don't fit in to what they think of as 'normal" - I really think this point is essential for EVERY country in the world. It's human nature I guess... I mean, I was born and grew up in Russian and there you get abuse for every little tiny shit. In Germany ppl can be (wel, like you sad, it depens where you live) pretty narrow-minded, too.

  • But every time I visited England (and Scottland) ppl were - compared to Germans and Russians - incredibly patient and polite. I'm not naive, I KNOW it's not the same thing to visit a country or actually to live there, but still...

  • Totally agree with you mate.

    England is a fucking shambles.

  • this stuff you are saying is insane and difficult to listen to... so freaking unfair, but I was about to get a fine in Denmark cos I forgot to turn on the lights of my bike; thank God I spoke english instead of danish and they kind of "forgave me" for that (even though I'm fluent in danish)

Jordan, fight for your case till the end, there's no way they can get away with that.

  • Thanks for your support Saberfang! I may get the email tomorrow explaining the outcome, or they may drag it out till next week.. I won't be going to prison.. Well.. Who knows ey?

If i do get fined, i can imagine it being Very Hefty, more than i can afford, just to put me in my place, for emailing and complaining to them, even though i am 100% innocent. (Which is why i hope people read the Desc. I picked up the Paper and still got fined!)

  • liverpool?

  • off-topic, sorry...

Your videos seriously scare me to death, 'cause I actually love your island so much, that I want to live there as soon as possible (I live in Germany right now). I'm totally interested in British history and musik, and of course British guys are completely gorgeous))

But listen to your words let me doubt my feelings((

  • Sigh. This country is great Lilian. Don't listen to what Brits on the internet with one brain cell tell you. They're always the first to run everything down because they don't appreciate what they have. They want an empire again and to be no 1. They're not happy with being 5th on the world stage anymore and that's just sad. 5th out of 100's of countries is great and yet a Brit wouldn't see it that way.

  • At last this country seems GREAT to me! But I'm very very careful with my decisions. I want to know all the sides, good AND bad. Every opinion is useful for my "researches"))) Like I said, I'd love to live there, but definitely not before I can speak English perfectly (I just started to learn it) and have a highly skilled job.

"They want an empire again"... hahahaha! Where the sun never go down, I guess?:))

  • No I havent received a fixed penalty notice, because I dont "break the law" and neither should you! Doesnt matter how big the piece of paper was, you still did it, and Im sure if a judge saw this video they would take this as an admission of your guilt......I DO love your rants and raves though-makes me laugh ;-)

  • Read the prior comments and description before making the instant judgement you have done.

As said previously. The paper was placed onto of the bin, in the smoking cigarette section (Perfectly Legal) i was called back to the bin when it had blown off, too which then i PICKED IT UP, but was still given a fine.

Your telling me a judge would see that as a reasonable reason to charge somebody £80.

Also note in the video i said "Apparent" Their was no admission.

  • whoa calm down there Mr! Pay the fixed penalty and leave it be! I DO agree you need to leave the country, I have lived all over the world and loath going back to england...........

  • As stated in Prior comments, the investigation is on going, meaning that the Penalty is currently frozen until a decision has been made.

It will probably be decided due to the fact an offense wasn't written down, i will be let off.

Which isn't even the point of the video. The point of the video is accidental bits of paper falling out of peoples pockets, Tiny scraps of wrappers or stickers less than 1inch being thrown onto the floor and people being fined for it even when picking it up.

  • I didn't know you were a law student... I respect that a lot, I always though of you as "the funny guy" but some of your videos show that you are also well educated and intelligent; knowing that the actual justice system depends on those high class judges and lawyers, I'm quite happy to see that the future of the justice system would be in the hands of middle class British citizens like you :-)

  • *Working Class Citizens like me :P

I could only prey i was middle class! Then i would have no money worries!

  • laura. Don't come back please. We're well rid. England can now thrive and prosper without your sort forever running it down. :-)

  • I've always wanted to visit England. Now I'm having second thoughts.

  • Yep. People like Jordan work wonders for our tourism.

  • If my videos effect peoples opinions on traveling to the UK. Then the Government can pay me lots of money to 'Promote' England :P

Until that day, i speak the truth!

  • Lol. OK. ;-)

  • was it burnley by any chance? haha

  • Here in the states, a friend of mine littered and he was fined $500. The cops here get bored.

  • Btw it was a cig wrapper.

  • id say we can squarely blame the chavs

although i live in england and have never ever heard of that before!

  • I salute you sir

  • yes.. well kind of.. I got give a coloured card for sitting between two "out of bounds" hedges in our local park...

    What a joke

  • i agree

  • haha they deserve to be.... whatever.

  • i got given an asbo the other week for playing football in a park because it landed in somones garden!!!! .... also ive been given one of dropping a chip whilst walking

  • Well when i get older i think i want to be a police officer, now i think littering just deserves a warning, but at any sight or knowledge of anything worth dealing with i will be right there and take a blind eye to the litter and grafiti, the human life is more important.

    -Kyle

  • I'm sure they're legally required to write what you're being fined for, just the same as if you're arrested by the police they have to tell you what for and tell you your rights. Check into that because if that's the case then it could all be null and void anyway.

  • I think that's why their now investigating the case. After the lengthy email i sent them about every unprofessional they did in the process.

And for all i know, i could be going to prison soon, as some of the offenses include prison time, and they could write on what they want that iv committed as i have no copy of what i did.

  • were you in oldham by any chance? its a reet shit hole

  • hi nice video

  • £80? That does sound a bit steep but you did drop the litter. I will use a pretty cheesy phrase but it is still significant " If you can't do the time don't do the crime". If the paper had fallen out of your pocket then maybe you could moan about it but you are still in the wrong. You cannot make exceptions to rules or they will fall apart. I do agree about the state of some parts of the country though.

  • I do need to point out, as also mentioned in the description, i fully support the fight against litter.

Also, i did say in the video 'Apparent' - My case is currently being investigated, and i don't want to harm any chances i have, if they sniff around in my personal life and see what i have said behind closed doors.

The piece of paper in question, was placed ontop of a bin, in one of them smoking sections (completely legal) and then it must of blown off, or been taken off.

  • The litter in question was smaller than 1inch long and wide, and if i would of seen it at the time falling i would of fixed the situation, but it was practically invisible to the naked eye.

I think their is a limit on how far the quote "if you can't do the time, don\t do the crime" can be stretched in this case.

  • Ah. I understand now. You didn't know that the litter fell? If that is the situation then I think that the fine is very uncalled for. Could they not just have pointed it out and told you to pick it up? If you put it on top of a bin because it was full then it is the council or whoever owns the bins fault. They should empty it more often to prevent this sort of thing and keep the area clean.

  • The funny part is, when i was aware it fell after he pointed it out to me, i picked it up.. And still got fined!

    Gotta love this country.

It's upto the person, whether they will fine you or not. Just because he's had a bad day, he has the power to hand anybody he wants fines. Disgrace.

  • @FunnyPranks come to america =O

  • If i could afford it, id already be at the airport singing songs of the promise land.

  • Because the US is so much better...

  • I don't think that after picking up the rubbish you should still have been punished, It is not as if you resisted or insulted anyone. You are right,it is a disgrace.

  • Just don't admit too it tbh, denie all charges they can't prove it.

  • It's more of setting an example than what you actually did. I'm tired of seeing litter everywhere so I think its good for police to clamp down on it... I don't think you can compare this with Britain's flimsy justice system on the level of murder or rape, its completly different... Point understood though, the police DON'T undertand.

  • I love this video!! Amazing job, and I like your arguement and completely agree with you.

  • I read a story today about a man who was given an on-the-spot fine for blowing his nose while he was waiting in a queue of traffic.

There was another where a man was fined £50 on-the-spot for "littering" when a £10 note fell out of his pocket.

  • I read about the blowing the nose one today. He's fighting it and taking it to the courts. Knowing this justice system he will loose and end up paying thousands of pounds of costs.

Complete disgrace! Immigration as soon as i run into some money.

  • This is just sad, I feel sorry for you mate (N)
