I ride bulls and love it! I once had a bull fuckin step on my hip and shattered it! Then wake up every morning and it takes like a good 30 mins before i have the energy to get up and go do the morning chores! got to bring money in some how! my husband does this and he got into a bad wreck with a bull. where it tore his leg and stepped on his mask and it ripped his ear almost off he had to get it stitched back on. but he healed ok from it. i swear if i see him do this i peek through my fingers, its scary

They are our way of making money, and they can't make us money if they are not healthy.

@ethan1655 i don't doubt that in half the cases all the animals are treated well and raised to a high standard, and i can appreciate anyone who puts a fair amount of time in to rearing good quality bulls. however it's a large generalisation to believe that abuse is not at the forefront of many events and also during rearing, and continues to be a large part of it.
@FNJOKER The rope the bullrider holds on to is made to come off when he lets go of his rope. The flank strap, (by the way is in the flanks not their balls) has a slipnot in to and as the bull come out of the area, is pulled and taken off. Also there are limits to how tight these can be. If the flank strap is too tight, the bull wont buck, If the bullrope is too tight, eather the bull doesnt buck or it brakes the riders hand.
i have a friend he is rider anytime i see that guy or he got his teeth knokd out or something broken in his body but he is still going at it and travels state to state to ride damn bull. its a crazy sport

When u look at the animals they're perfectly happy just grazing all day until their event, they're not being beaten or tortured at all. At all professional rodeos there are numerous vets on hand to make sure the animals are cared for and safe. Also, there are people monitoring everything.

@animalcoocoo The cinch does not hurt them. If it's too tight it restricts their movement anyways. No one can make a 2000 lbs. animal do something it doesn't want to do. These bulls were born and raised to do this.

@BullRiderUtah I agree with everything ur saying but the Guy who died was Lane Frost. 1989 CFD. To the assholes: Im from the home of "The Daddy of Em' All" and the livestock are all treated extremely well. When u look at the animals they're perfectly happy just grazing all day until their event, they're not being beaten or tortured at all. At all professional rodeos there are numerous vets on hand to make sure the animals are cared for and safe. Also, there are people monitoring everything.

my soon- to be step dad did that!!! his real son saw them from this view, and he said he would bet money that the first one was him because he said that looks like his gear and he has gone down head- first so many times like that... his son is with my sister and their friend on a walk right now so we will ask him when he gets back... but yeah... and yeah Troy (he went by JT Thompson when he did that as his carreer), said he doesnt really know how it would look as much because he was right

@animalcoocoo : Well I'm a rodeo cowboy I bull ride and I have gotten my hand caught up , reason being when u slip off the rigging tightens up and your purty much screwed unless a miracle happens , but we take care of our rodeo stock.......the back cinch just gives 'em an energy boost as you might call it.
