Ya know, the ultimate rocket love is reachin that balance between two primer patterns of black and white, in a mix, not just one of them, this way one comes to understand fully in appreciation that panther racist-free sphere of Stevie Wonder, and this is album of Hotter than July was just that message, you just have to be in the fetchin capability
sad world when a blind boy from a single mom could see more in space than the sighted. Less money on war and place and more to help the human race. From the trenches and bowels of our ghettos and saharan imperialistic wars instead of flight tours, clean up your mess in space, BOYS you're all one big penile disgrace.
It makes U wonder is the world ever going to have another Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles. They were great but who is going to carry the torch for the next generation when it comes to breaking obstacles and creating dreams and memories from their curious fingertips and distinctive voices and creative souls i'm in my twenties so I am not speaking biased but I feel like our generation has yet to produce the "Classics" that the younger generation will be able to reference. Are we de-evolving musically?
@eternal22x I feel you cause its like the music these days dont come from the soul its all about sales and having "the look" and not about honing there craft.
@eternal22x People should aspire to be better than Stevie and Ray but it's a different time and era now and majority of artist don't know about substance in their music. It seems like everyone is looking for a hit song in my opinion.
@Chasson0318 Stevie never comes back, he,s Stevie Wonder, he,s never gone. His due is always. Rest assured , he'll be out but not back with a soulful song that will be a hit. But i feel ya.

@thirtydaes - You sound like you're a trip. When I read your screen name, I hollered because it implies, at least it does to me, that 30 days is your probationary period (internal clock) for detecting the BS and eliminating anyone that does not come correct. Stevie added those two words just for you. And, I'm still hollereing!!!
@Christyluv2011: i thought i was the only one who realized stevie said that! that's my favorite part of the song. i sooooooo love this...describes my relationship with love exactly.
@FrankE1963 - that part about the dog is not all Stevie said. Advance to about 3:44 and listen from there. Stevie says, "You dropped my blacka** out into this cold, cold world." Now that's for real.
Steve was a great artist my mom was alittle girl and went wit him to pick his store to pick the instrutment for this song when she was young for this song
@cwilma1 stevie is singing about dating someone you thought was your soulmate and then they dump you. you were half a mile from heaven & then they dropped your black ass down into this cold, cold world.
@thirtydaes ...dropped my black ass....In the 80's my friend and I argued whole heartedly about him saying that. He kept insisting that it was NOT what he said! Lol! I just copied and pasted your comment to him!
@thirtydaes ...and now he believes me cause you said it was so! lol! Now he knows not to argue Stevie lyrics with a die hard Stevie fan! I know every lyric to every song! Thanks for inadvertently backing me up!
I love the way this songs floats along.... than drops a little to be caught like a feather by a gentle wind... beautiful..beautiful!!! The intensity raises and Like that...awe ... I wake...What a great song. Good looking out @ PullCat63 for recomending this song nxt.
Wesley.... I did it to myself, I messed up because of my insecurities..... a half a mile from heaven you dropped me back down to this cold, cold world
This is what happens when God touches a person with the gift of Music. This song is decades old and it sounds like it was created just yesterday. Stevie a true musical genius, legend, icon. One of our greatest entertainers ever, let us celebrate his life now -- while we are still blessed to have him. I don't want to loose anohter great musician "gone too soon" before letting him know how much we love him! Thank you Stevie!
@essiusc So True I came home to find it and it was made in 1980!! I thought it was a new album my mom said girl that was before you was born lol.... I love it!!!
@servantofalla After all these years I had never noticed that @ 3:48. You dropped my "black ass" back down to this cold, cold world. It made me laugh and once again Stevie shows us his sense of humor. Good ear on that one Servantofalla. Peace.
I would not do that to a dog baby!! Favorite song from this album!
He's my #1 go to for all occasions -- whether it be a holiday, party, or just an ordinary day. Grew up on Stevie, grew my kids up on him too, they know most of his lyrics -- now showing the next generation (grandsons) how beautiful he makes you feel! Seen him twice over the last few years in the Bay Area and had a red tank top made with this album's cover art to show my love. It was HOT! 1st Concert was in July too -- CRAZY!
1980 wow, I was in high school good music like this and lots of good memories. For all you young listeners take the time to appreciate the words to this master piece.
@KidDebbieIsReady Are you SERIOUS? A Pharrell Take Off? This song was a hit before Pharrell was in 5th grade !!! Pharrell aint even a hair follicle on Stevie's ass... wtf? You need to recognize who the genius is and who the student is. Get it straight.. That's like saying Michael Jordan is a copy of Kobe.. Anything Pharrell does has been done before.. and he probably studied Stevie till his head and ears hurt....
@megavega4 whoaa calm down all i said is that beging of the song sounds like pharrell take it off not take off lmaoo!!! and this song is mad old so of course he stole it . its not that serious relax . -_________-
@megavega4 WORD TO DEATH!!! ITS A SHAME YOU HAVE TO GO OFF LIKE THIS BECAUSE RESPECT IS IN SUCH SHORT SUPPLY THESE DAYS. STEVIE RULES A GREAT COMPOSER, MUSICIAN, WRITER, PERFORMER AND HUMAN BEING...
@megavega4 that's right....but don't diss on Pharrell man...he makes amazing 'commercial' music....since every fucking comercial music sucks as hell. Pharrell, like Steavie Wonder uses amazing chord progressions, in a def world....in a world where people only feel 2 or 3 chord progressions used by Gaga, Rhianna, Black Eyed Peas, Bieber....etc etc etc etc. And yes....as a chord lover, Pharrell said that he is inspired by Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson (Quincy Jones cool chords),etc
@VitorVitoriaBaia I'm not dissing Pharrell... I'm simply laughing at the notion of he and Stevie being mentioned in the same sentence... Pharrell stands out more by default than actual talent... It's not the same playing field.. When everything else around you sucks... it's easy to be viewed as great. Stevie's golden era was during a time in music where he had fierce competition and peers on his level.
lusoscorpionx
ofcourse also to make money he is a professional through and through!
