The only reason I don't support Senator Gravel whole-heartedly is due to his stance on illegal immigration. It's a fairness issue and speaks to the character of a candidate. The American people should not be asked to pay for the social services of illegals in our country. Especially when the governments of their native countries aren't being asked to contribute. Millions of American citizens can be described as the "working poor." They should be getting the help if anyone does.
In the debates Senator Gravel was lucky to have two minutes to say anything...never mind citing examples of history. And I don't consider the ability to cite examples as evidence of charisma. They have nothing to do with one another. Senator Gravel is quite direct in his answers, and no, I don't think his accusations are "random". If Hillary/Edwards/obama have taken preemptive nuclear attacks off the table of viable options, they had opportunity to say so. They didnt.
be interesting to see who the yanks end up voting for! Problem is he has too many power groups such as Religious ones and the Corporates against him. So I don't think the average American will hear much about his views
I like the idea of putting the government truly in the hands of the people, but I worry that would this not further empower the media to run our country? And how powerful would the Judicial System be? Would the Supreme Court still be able to knock down laws passed by the people? Would people truly research and think about laws before they signed on for them?
I like Ron Paul too....but Senator Gravel has a quality, charisma or something, that you need to to go all the way to the White House. He also has a great record as a public servant.....a record of courage and principles.
you think gravel has more charisma than ron paul ? in the debates ron paul uses examples and history, gravel just blurts random accusations. His attack on hilary/edwards/obama on being ready to go nuclear were not fair accusations. i find ron paul acts more presidential
Explain why his accusation were not fair. Have you listened to what they have been saying in they campaigns. This is the problem, people you had better start paying attention, and stop being whooed by political polish.
Barack has made that statement several times in his campaign stump speechs about all option are on the table. Hillary was talking that stuff when the Brit sols were detained by Iran. And look at what Biden said at the end of the debate about the "happy talk" . Edwards voted for the resol when he knew the Intelligence was false because he was on the intel committee. Paul talks a good game, but has no plan on how to get of Iraq. Gravel does and has made it available to the public.
I don't think he is biting of more than he can chew - it does look awkward but who said politics ever had to look graceful? maybe that's why the anti's are against him - he doesn't look hollywood enough? In the end, we'll all get what we asked for, the choice is yours.

It's people like Mike Gravel and Ron Paul who revitalize the steadily diminishing hope and faith I have in the future of this country.

Then get after your rep about taken lobbist money from corporation who want cheap labor. Notice how they are not quick to end it.
