@johnnynoirman I'm no expert and still learning. But from past experience: for technique, dexeterity, etc look up classical musical exercises, like Hanon.
@johnnynoirman Not a huge fan. I started replacing my Hanon study with scales and actual pieces and I soared. Bach inventions are a great replacement because they can be exercises as well as pieces to perform and play for enjoyment. But I don't what you are as a pianist. So don't take it as condescending. Whatever works, I say. I just feel like I wasted a lot of time with Hanon.

Your lessons are short concise and powerful.
I was wondering if you will cover ragtime runs..and Listz or Chopin runs and techiques for improvising?

Hanon is my bible...Listz wrote a book on techical excercizes that great too.

@fissionesque I mean I was doing scale before, of course. But I just felt like Hanon clogged me up. My new teacher agreed and I never looked back.
