@WorldStove No, the hairdryer would be to force air into the fire chamber. Works much like putting a turbo on a car, or bellows on a forge, more air = more/hotter fire.
I really dont know why hes using store bought charcoal as fuel... the gasification process has an end result of pure carbon (charcoal). I use a rudimentary gasifier (coffee can with a loose fitting metal lid) to turn wood into charcoal for my forge.
