commented you before. but anyway, i think this is the best way to describe the mind of a guitarist watching another guitarist. basically, it's like guitar hero; in that i have an expected note of what you should play and how it should sound. and you literally got a perfect score from that. nailed absolutely every bend.
very nice man, im a huge hendrix fan myself and its alot of what i play. U really got the tone down, but u should probably get a backtrack or a metronome, cuz the song is just a bit faster paced than wat you were doin, but still was great. Check out my hendrix vid btw, ud like it
the tone on this is a about 98% there, just realise how good you really are,14 years old ,im 37 and cant play as good as you.young ones dont know what music is today but you do,you have somthing special, use it
I really appreciate that. I put as much time in practicing in as I can. I do agree there are not many true musicains these days in music. Thanks again, Brandon
sounds good man, i have the same amp for gigging and a cabinet hooked alongside at home for that extra punch....those who chastize you make you a better player....dont rely on the amp distortion alone get a couple giggle boxes to fatten your sound with some chorus and baby that will sound slick....keep on practicing brother....long live jimi
petsnowflake its so refreshing to hear a kid your age playing hendrix so good and having the tone .witch 95% of the you tube kid guitar players cant comprehend with their shredding and sloppy playing covered up by distortion you my friend have true talent ! thanks from an old school player peace!!!!!
Thank you. I think the same way. I don't think there are very many talented players anymore. I don't think most people have the ear to understand how complex and brilliant Hendrix really was. They hear that thick fuzz tone and it kind of turns them off. It is a trained ear. Thanks again. Brandon.
I've always thought that this was the sexiest sounding guitar solo and sound that Jimi ever recorded in the studio. And I actually mean sexy. HIs tone was sexy. And your playing was fantastic, that fuzz sounds great. Trifecta, right? Sounds killer.
There's another fuzz out there called the "oxfuzz" -maybe it's two words, not sure. Either way, it sounds killer.
And you need to check out JVStratocaster's cover of Machine Gun, it's best Hendrix cover on YT imo
How do you find the Barber Trifecta? Are you happy with it or is there another fuzz pedal you're itching for? Not sure if I should go for this one or the MJM Foxey Fuzz or Britbender.
I forgot now how I found it . . . it was off of the internet. Gearmandude does a review on it. I like the Barber because it blends extremely well with the amp's natural distortion on low and high volumes. I won't beat around the bush--the Barber Trifecta is probably the best fuzz pedal out there right now, as far as true, Hendrixian fuzz sounds are concerned. And you really can get many different tones out of it too. The pedal is also true bypass.
i love transistor fuzz.. for hendrix (mjm effects speaking) id get the lond fuzz 1 or 2(depends if you want silicon or germanium) brit bender is more of a jimmy page/jeff beck thing. the foxy fuzz has i think a little much gain for hendrix.
He said that for the blues , not for this blues, here this boy don't lives his music, so much mistakes and it's not musical, look i put a post where i said "you don't live your music" it'sd true , so bad, it's not musical, it's ugly, so ugly, mistakes -no feeling- don't feel his music- not musical It's too bad
Jimi Fan just like you, short and simple i would really enjoy listening to you play along to backing tracks? maybe? lol improv is what its all about peace
this sounds a lot like the red house from the "Blues" album... and damn man you've gotten a whole lot better since i saw you last on youtube. well ill be putting some videos of me playing/my set-up up shortly so be sure to check those out
Yeah man, I'm working on vibrato and feeling the song. A lot of my other videos seem "stiff" and pre-packaged. You can't play quality Hendrix music that way. Hendrix was about improvisation and "mud," as Johnny Jones told Jimi once after defeating him in a guitar battle in his younger years.
yeah i couldnt agree more vibrato and improvisation.... once you have those mastered then you can be able to play what you really are feeling on the spot. and it seems like you know a lot about hendrix... where do you get all your information? because ive looked at practicly every single thing about him on the web and it still doesnt seem like i know as much as you, lol.
Man I have read a couple of books and watched every concert DVD available. I have done a lot of research. I need some therapy I guess. I just have studied his style and techniques for a long time. I don't hardly play anything but Hendrix music. Thanks. B
really do you have any recommendations bookwise? and those concert videos are expensive i cant affrord to bye all of them lol. well i dont blame you i dont think anyone can get enough hendrix. it just keeps getting more exciting to play and listen to every day
I appreciate that. I have been playing for about 3 years. That is when I really started to put some things together. It is always just a work in progress. Thanks again. B

This comment has received too many negative votes show
it's blues, not so difficult, and here this boy do the same lick than hendrix, it's not jam.

Jimi once said that blues are easy to play but difficult to feel.

Room Full of Mirrors is a great book on Hendrix. David Henderson's Scuse me while I kiss the sky is not as good IMO.
