If you do not want the grass grow anymore in your backyard then save all the old oil and use that to spray over the grass...No more grass what so ever and you are not waste your gas to do RECYCLE STATION (not to far!) haha!
As the engine uses it, soot & microscopic engine bits that wear off of whatever gears and such get mixed into the oil... get enough of that stuff in there and it'll start wearing down your engine much faster. . . and it's cheaper to change your oil than to change your engine. later on.
Never said you shouldn't change your oil! I asked why recycled(done professionally)oil can't be used again! As long as it's clean, has the viscosity, and all of the other properties oil needs to work in an engine I would think it would be fine!
I would guess either the oil undergoes some chemical changes that make it less quality during use or when it's being filtered, or maybe it's just a matter of who buys from the recycling plant.

Oh I see. Yeah, I misread. my bad.
That's a very good question. . .
I would guess either the oil undergoes some chemical changes that make it less quality during use or when it's being filtered, or maybe it's just a matter of who buys from the recycling plant.
