AWESOME! I had always wanted to do the Flying Saucers at Disneyland but was born 20 years too late.
I know this isn't the same, but it will be my opportunity at long last! Hats off to Disney and I am happy Eisner is gone, there wouldn't have been enough room for both his ego and this project to co-exist.
Thought you might like to know: I featured this video of yours in my article, "Retroland: Disneyland Through the Ages - Part 1" (I'd link if YouTube allowed). In the article, yesterday's "Flying Saucers" attraction is compared with the upcoming "Luigi's Flying Tires" ride at DCA. Thanks!
Human Air Hockey meets Bumper Cars in a Hovering Italian Tire Theme sort of way. I give it about 12 Months before they tear it down for something else related to a new Pixar movie due out next spring.

STUPID, STUPID, STUPID..... ONCE AGAIN, DISNEY IMAGINEERS HAVE LOST THEIR CREATIVE MINDS. ANYBODY WHO REMEMEBRS DISNEYLAND IN ITS INFANCY, REMEMBERS THE FLYING SPACE SHIP RIDE THAT THIS TAKES AFTER. THE SAUCERS WERE HARD TO CONTROL AND TECHNOLOGY AT THE TIME WASN'T WHAT IT IS TODAY... IM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED THAT DISNEY'S IMAGINEERS COULDN'T HAVE DEVELOPED SOMETHING BETTER FOR A PARK THAT DESPERATELY NEEDS "FRESH NEW IDEAS" ...NOT RECYCLED ONES.

The original ride was in Tomorrowland. It was a flying saucer ride. Awesome ride, but it was prone to glitches. Too fat, you got stuck there. Too thin, you got flipped over. Hopefully they fixed that or it'll be lawsuit city.
Wait, wait wait wait wait wait wait... I was expecting the saucers to be higher! What the hell!!! Project Blue Book had better flying things than you (cant call them flying saucers because these are tires, I guess...)!
I'm pretty sure they had this ride when DL first opend ! It ended up not working like they wanted and was shut down not long after that. So it's awesome that they brought back one of Walts origanal ideas. =D
@GrintSistah It wasn't an original attraction. Disneyland opened in 1955. Flying Saucers opened in 1961 and closed in 1966 because the technology for it was costly and Disney wanted to save money. Space Mountain and Captain EO sit where Flying Saucers used to be.
@GrintSistah they had this in the old time tomorrow land it was awesome they took it out in 1996 and it was installed into the disneyland ca tomorrowland in the early 50's. Man I must be the only one born then in that decade
It's the flying saucers! I've always wanted to try those!
