  • If I die.... I want to be a hero... Fighting for what is right... Live on.. Comrades.

  • what they should have done or should do for sequel is have the movie from the air force's point off view like lets have a big scene were we actually get to see the jets fighting the ships and also see how the rest of the world was doing

  • this scene made me want to play bf3

  • Battle LA: Return 2 LA

  • This sequence just perfectly captures the mechanisation and mobilisation to war. The sheer organised chaos of it all. The helicopters flying around, the jets buzzing the enemy, the meteors falling to Earth, all the military mobilised and deployed for battle. Just a sheer incredible moment when I saw it in the cinema. The striking visual imagery and the haunting music hit me at once. The best depiction of full-on alien invasion on-screen ever, full-stop.

  • This scene is sick! Everytime I watch it I get chills...

  • A multi-billion US army and defense system is probably only worth £10 to the advanced aliens.

  • @badwolf66 good to know the aliens deal in £ sterling. If the Scots get their independence, they'll have at least one party to trade with.

  • @TalentSpotter83 Who needs the Tory party anyway only rich elites.

  • @badwolf66 ..some would say the same for the Scots (minus being rich elites). I don't though.

  • buena buena muy buena

  • Still looks fake.

  • Quite a budget for a one start movie.

  • Amazing scene... love this with sourrond sound

  • I haven't seen the movie yet, all I know is its a war against aliens, and by the looks of things, it looks kind of like halo the movie!

  • too bad it was so cliche -___-

  • please tell me a sequels coming out

  • @TheFoxnewslies there is they said that along time ago

  • alliens in this movie are realy weak they lose the fight in two days

  • @gwebgroupe They are probally haven't incountered a civilation like us with the weapons we have and the will to resist.

  • great scene, too bad this is the best part of the movie.

  • man i love this part with souround sound on bass playing loud haha it feels like im right there with them

  • OPTIMUS!! oh wait there are no autobots in this movie, DAMMIT!!

  • @Lorenzogamer

    LOL

  • one of the greatest scenes ever made the detail and everything is amazing you can see tanks and soldiers on the ground fighting, don't listen to critics this a good war movie that's very realistic.

  • @HeadSHOT604 and also i saw some A-10s flying around in some spots yes it is very detailed

  • @HeadSHOT604 Also an interesting detail at 0:30 cop car with flashing lights...

  • @HeadSHOT604 Apart from the aliens

  • @E55Jake No I mean the movie is realistic in terms of what if Aliens attacked.

  • @HeadSHOT604 This scene is ok but the whole movie is total crap, cause as almost in all Hollywood movies with something like (SPOILER) that ends with 1 person or a group that saves everyone.. Thats lame, cause next to that mother ship or sth they would've just been slaughtered.. Well, thats my opinion.

  • @liuxers201 Well they didn't really do anything just take take out a command centre for drones...who's to say they don't end up dying trying to take the city back and what if the enemy has reinforcements...but this movie was still fun to watch.

  • @HeadSHOT604 the bad thing is that you don't have more scenes like this in the movie

  • fuck aliens

  • That what I call a bloody invasion. Fire, smoke, tank like rounds as alien weapons going off.

  • I would only join the military for an extraterrestrial invasion like this.....all hell would break loose

  • i REALLY hope they do a number 2

  • This scene made me want to go to war.

  • @BC1Dan funny .... me too man

  • @BC1Dan dude same here...the music fit this scene very well... u cant help but sit and wonder when u were gonna get shot down if u were one of them

  • @BC1Dan against aliens right ?

  • @BC1Dan so propaganda worked ...

  • @BC1Dan What ever you do dont goto war wait until aliens attack ;)

  • beautiful scene and music semper fidelis marines !!!!!!

  • @0311SECFOR

It was a ton of different things, because as you saw they had to bring out older technology since they were fighting in other cities. I saw F-16s, F-15Es and F-22s (at the end). And the tank that was shooting at the aliens on the highway was an M60A3 Patton so it's kinda proof that it's a joint operation and that they need older tech.

  • whats the theme to this trailer?

  • @moviebuster there i not 1 just 4 this song but its in the country and family soundtrack

  • @moviebuster From the Battle: Los Angeles soundtrack called "For Home, Family and Country" or something along those lines

  • Nice HD

  • I have this on Blu-ray!

  • those aliens are gonna cry when we unleash the japanese soldiers. BANZAI MOTHERFUCKERS!!!!!

  • goverment "this is just a training exercis"

  • lol i liked how the aliens came all d-day style :D and how did the aliens already have AAs yet the humans didn't? it would've helped alot against those airship :/

  • @WorldsMostWated

Actually, the humans had anti-air. The Aliens were able to deflect em' with shields and with the centre controller. If you look down on the screen you'll notice Abrams tanks and Bradleys moving in on the piers during this scene.

  • @GameReviewer1987

The aliens had high powered weaponry equal to high explosive rounds. Listen closely in the movie whilst the Marines are inside the Chinook during this deployment phase before they enter the hot zone. One of the transmissions the pilots receive from another is stating that the aliens have this type of weaponry.

High caliber rounds fired towards a choppers rotors can actually damage and bring down a chopper in reality. The aliens were firing towards the choppers.

  • @Cayden1986

Not what I meant, I'm saying that the humans had anti-air weaponry, but it wasn't effective against the aliens ships.

  • @GameReviewer1987

I saw no military personnel operating AA equipment against the drone ships. Care to explain in the movie where this happens?

  • @Cayden1986

Well, for one thing they had the SAMs when they were taking out the control centers, and also if you watch in the background you'll see missiles flying out at alien ships during the movie.

  • @GameReviewer1987

Hmm, that would be right, considering the amount of detail the developers put into background scenes.

  • @Cayden1986 i think these backgrounds are the best ever since avatar. nah this is more epic

  • @GameReviewer1987 I didn't see any SAMs being used. If you refer to the missile strikes at the end. They were the Copperhead laser guided missiles. Surface to surface essentially. I don't think if any AA weapons would've been used, that they would've been ineffective per se. I just think the drones were too numerous and easily took out our logistical units (ground and air transports). Jets could only harass them, but they scored some kills apparently (20).

  • @TalentSpotter83

They would've been using AA weapons likely, as you can see missiles flying up in the background (Maybe they are just Stinger pods) during some parts. And they were able to harass us.

  • @GameReviewer1987 any particular bits specifically? I don't recall missile trails coming from the ground. But then there's a lot of firing going on. I think they'd be vulnerable to our AA weapons, particularly stingers. As with a launcher, you can fire then run. I just think they had too many drones to shoot down. Interestingly, go to the Battle:LA wiki page and look at the article on the F/A-18. It's listed as not being shot down and scoring a couple of kills....

  • @GameReviewer1987...towards the end of the film, when that UH-1 crew chief says "they're blowing us out! (of the sky)". I think he was referring to the slow moving aicraft, the helicopters. Particularly the troop and supply transports. The fighter aircraft were being a nuisance but were simply not enough to destroy the swarm of wedge ships (max speed of Mach 7!). Really with the capabilities of the wedge ships, you could decimate ground forces quite easily.

  • @GameReviewer1987 The aliens didn't have any shields nor did they deflect any AA fire?

  • @TalentSpotter83

No they didn't have shields but their technology could deflect small calibers easily.

  • @GameReviewer1987 you mean their armour would withstand fire from small arms munitions

  • @WorldsMostWated

Aliens were equipped with High explosive rounds. They are capable of taking down choppers if they hit the center of the rotors. That of which the aliens know or didn't know at the time. But the introduction with the Marines deploying and hearing over the communications channel that a chopper was shot down pretty much suggests that the Aliens could take down the choppers.

  • @WorldsMostWated that is because america's ground based AA capabilities are non existent, save for stingers and a few PAC-3 battalions. US military doctrine is entirely based on the assumption that the USAF will gain air superiority. if not, there is next to nothing protecting ground forces from enemy air attacks.

the russians and chinese on the other hand have huge stockpiles of SAMs to make up for their smaller air forces, so they would actually fare better against the aliens in this movie.

  • @fludblud there's also the Humvee Avenger platform with twin stinger launchers and a .50 cal machinegun in addition to the M6 Linebacker. I think they're only used by the U.S Army but seeing as there Marines, Army and National Guard there, they could've been fielded.

  • at 0:20 i watched this with cc on and 1 guy said

U HAVE 2 TAKE ME OUT 2 DINNER 1ST BABY

  • does annybody know what they say at 0:15

  • @AnZJm "That's a negative, we got over 400 casualties...." Thats wat i heard

  • @AnZJm Thats a negative we've got 4 civilians... (boom)

  • @SgtSagget thanks bro

  • @SgtSagget yo right after that there is a guy that says u got 2 take me 2 diner 1st baby (but u can only here that part in the movie) but in this u can here him say u got 2 take me

  • I WANT PART 2 FOR BATTLE LOS ANGELES!!!!!!!!!!

  • 0:10 i here a triple A in the background and u can c the bulets flying

  • @AnZJm Oh shit! The aliens advanced that far in already

  • @WorldsMostWated eather them or the military

  • 0:17 in the movie there is an alarm going off and a few seconds another 1 goes off but in this there is not

  • If I could make a....side-quel of sorts. I'd make it about the shit going on on the ground seen briefly at 0:28. Looking carefully you can see an all out firefight which several different tanks are cruising up the streets lighting shit up. The movie wants to make you see more of the action that's for sure..

  • They condensed the scene by HALF as it was 2 minutes long :/ you can tell by the music. Still baddass nonetheless! Had me on the edge of my seat in the theatre

  • When I was in the theatre I was like....hollllyyyyy shiiiittt

  • USMC > space aliens

  • 0:17 did that chopper at the front got destroy ?

  • @peterana00 I dont think so.. but a meteroid did explode in front of it

  • @peterana00 ya

  • @peterana00 yea but the 1 in front of the 1 that got destroyed didnt

  • Beautiful scene, beautiful score by Brian Tyler (For home, Country and Family), I really loved how they mixed the two things together it gave me the chills. Scene sort of reminded me a little of the beginning of Killzone 2 when humans invade Halghan. If you take out the parts where the reeeally go rethorical about the Marines and so on, I liked the film a lot. Shot as documentary, actors look like they had a lot of tactical training and there's some black hawk down in it also. Thumbs up thanks

  • @BierBomber - they're not only going after the coastal regions because of water but also because many large population centres reside there. Anywhere there's water, there will most likely be a sizeable settlement there. London sits on the River Thames and Paris on the River Seine. Those rivers are fairly big so you can see why they'd be important targets. Not to mention they're administrative capitals for their respective countries.

  • @TalentSpotter83 I get that, but what I meant by them not being coastal is the method the aliens have for landing ground troops. They need to land in water, to absorb the impact and perhaps fill their attack vessels with fuel, I assume. The river Thames and Seine aren't that wide and if you notice when they attack LA they land all over the coats i wide swaths. I figured maybe the aliens landed off the coast in respect to London and Paris and just advanced far enough inland to attack the cities.

  • @BierBomber You're wrong and an idiot for not agreeing with me......or at least that's what's the common YouTube idiot would say. No great reasoning there and I'm sure you're right. The thing is both London and Paris and not that far from the coastlines. So I imagine they just peppered the English channel with landing pods and split off into two main attack groups. The U.K mainland is tiny and can't see them having more than one landing zone. Yes, the respective rivers are not that big....

  • @BierBomber ....but possibly big enough to land smaller pods. Perhaps ones with fast-attack/moving scout units as a sort of light expeditionary force? Although the bulk of the landing force would landed in a 'safer' insertion point such as the English/French channel. Hmm..then again perhaps the Bristol/Cardiff (the latter is far more important than the former strategically) channel was a secondary landing zone for the attack on the U.K mainland? Then the west flank could peel off and link with..

  • @BierBomber ...the attack group attacking Ireland? Hence why the landings at Dingle Bay very briefly seen in a newsflash makes sense. A double-pincer movement.

  • @TalentSpotter83 You make some good points. Until they make Battle: London (it would be awesome if they did) I guess we'll never know. I hope the DVD will have a bonus feature that lists all the cities that were attacked and maybe stating the status of the battle against the aliens in each city.

  • @BierBomber I can't share weblinks here but if you search for "worldinvasionbattlela" in Google, it should be the first hit. On that webpage, click on "enter the site" then go to the "sightings map". It'll then display a tactical map of the world where all the major incursions are highlighted.I hope you're right that we'll get such information on the extras/bonus features of the DVD/Blu-ray release!

  • If I were a director I would have made the movie Battle Heerlen for a little sequel to this movie that shows how Europe gets beaten by this space bastards!

  • @Peekarica Well the aliens did land outside Barcelona, Hamburg, Paris (don't understand how because it's not coastal), London (same thing I said about Paris), and Dublin, so I think it's safe to say that Europe's in some trouble. If the US is only fighting 3 invasions (Los Angeles, New York, and New Orleans) and they're bogged down then 5 is murder!

  • @BierBomber you seem to be forgetting that in some country's our normal troops can fight (and our marines just fight really really well)

  • @m0gjr I don't get what you are saying in regards to my post. Did you take my comment as an insult because it wasn't meant to be one. I was pointing out that Europe probably isn't doing any better than the US in this movie. With the Spanish, British, French, and German armies fighting off invasions in their own countries the only other large military in the area would be Italy. Mixed with the chaos and the fact that they need to mobilize, it would take time for other European nations to help.

  • @BierBomber no insult taken just saw a fine opportunity to make a crack about how Britain has the best armed forces on earth (despite the best attempts by various politicians to break them)

  • @m0gjr If something like this were to happen I definitely would not mind if we waited until the aliens took out the politicians before we started fighting them.

  • OMG the chinese are here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Duantless Quickly! Hide your dogs and cats!

  • @Duantless he said the aliens are from Canada

  • @Duantless Chinese army would be slaughtered if they attacked.

  • @RedneckRapture yeah, they have a huge army. Not a good one like the US army.

  • @RedneckRapture Exactly, they may have the biggest army but they're too uncoordinated and have useless weaponry

  • @Duantless naww chinese are allies with us its the north koreans we got to be looking on

  • whats the name of the soundtrack?

  • @XxDaiasxX it's from "For Home, Country and Family" on the film's soundtrack.

  • we cannot lose los angeles

  • EPIC SCENE! EPIC MOVIE

  • 0:30 reminded me of Battlefield Badcompany 2

  • The stand-out sequence of the film (although trimmed here).

  • epic
