It seems whenever a game changes, everyone says the older version is better. It's kind of sad really. Maybe, and this is just a thought, maybe you just don't like change. Hell it's not just video games either, it's movies, music, art, everything. Same old story, "old is better blah blah blah."

I started playing when Cataclysm came out.... I'm mad because i could never enjoy the game how i should've with all the bullshit that followed with the expansions.

vanilla wow was the best because it was actually magical. dragons were magical because they werent over used like now days. and it felt more badass when u went on a raid in armour that looked pretty cool and not overdone making look like a fairy, and layed down a boss 100 times the size of yourself

i remember back wen it was vanilla, lvl 60 cap its was so fun, bc anouncment was also great and i still think bc is the best expansion pack, draenei and blood elves were the best things that happend to the game, just the blood elf mounts were kinda hard to accept at first

Blackrock mountain on a PVP server, trying to get to MC/BWL was horrendous at times. Vanilla did have its problems, but gameplay was much more rewarding overall.

good ole vanilla how i miss thee. ahhh the good ole days of having to wait till 5 stacks of sunder armor from the tank, who was of course a warrior, before you could attack. and world pvp, you will be missed.

I'm nostalgic too, so I found a vanilla wow server. Check out archaica.eu. Completely free (no micropay shop), 1x rates, patch 1.12.1, extremely Blizzlike from what I've seen. Smaller population right now, but growing. It's a Czech server but most everyone speaks English. Seems like a good group. I want more folks to group with, so come on out!

@PortalTutorials Yup, I tried Feenix. Honestly, I didn't like the 4x or insta-60 options. Felt like I was missing content. I know a lot of folks just want to speed to endgame and get back to raiding, though, so to each his/her own.

@MrDeamos Two things wrong with that opinion. 1. Vanilla wasn't an expansion. 2. Cataclysm sucks. HARD. Worst game ever, ever since they started making expansions. TBC wasn't bad, but after that, the game went to shit.
