This game is actually really fun. I got meteor black dragon (3500 attack) after 20 duels against the meadow mage which isn't exactly hours worth of game play. Took like 10 minutes, maybe 12 at most. And duplicating your good cards is really simple, all you need is 3 memory cards. Yea it has crappy 3D graphics but its a PS1 game what do you expect, most games for the PS1 didn't have the best graphics. I personally don't care much about graphics so long as it has good gameplay. I.E. Zelda OOT.

It's yugioh cards but the game is completely changed, forcing you to throw everything you know about yugioh except the core basics and form new strategies for this one. You can't just "fuse whatever you feel like fusinig either, there are rules to it that are fairly easy to figure out. The planet system just makes it easier for you to take down an opponents monster and also adds more strategy depth.

That was actually the very first YuGiOh game I ever played and thought it was alot of fun at first, I do agree it's ridiculous the price cost for a blue eyes and Raigeki.... pretty much the best card in that game. And I didn;t even know how to play Yugi back then so in the beginning that game was a whole big confusion for me and the anime series. When I played in realife in my old high school back then, I thought that's how they played YuGiOh so I tried doing that and they laughed!
actualy, it's 200 000 perfect duels . And let's not forget, even numerous perfect duels aginst very tough or even top tier enemies who have the cards you want will most likely land you with a very shity card that the person doesnt even have in his deck . It takes ca. 100 or more such duels just to get 1 good card .

but if you use your memory card with FM and put it in Player 2 slot you can duel against Duel Deck Master i and apparently if you beat him he gives you rare cards

The process of winning cards is actually very deep based on a number of factors. I don't even know if you mentioned winning cards, I could watch through it all. Decent effort though I guess. Probs about a 2/5 You need to understand the mechanics better.
You definitely insult this game and myself. It is by far one of the best YuGiOh! games ever made. The system the game uses is inventive and I can give them credit for attempting such a feat. But the lack of effect monsters is due to lack of memory on a disc. Whn you put 700+ different monsters in one game there have to be some tradeoffs. Overall I give this game an 8 ut of 10.

Can't say that I completely agree with your review.
Because, as a matter of fact, I actually like this game.
It's a lot more challenging than other YGO games mainly because the entire game requires new strategies.
As for the matter involving about getting cards you want and starter decks: your summary is 100% accurate.
But that's also the reason why I play the game on PC and use an emulation cheater so I can assemble decks of my own (without making them overpowered).
