Caribou or Shirahoshi will definitely NOT join the SH Crew. Caribou is a worthless maggot with major mental issues. Shirahoshi is the Mermaid Princess and also an ancient weapon so she has to stay in Fishman Island. She is also way too big to be part of the crew, plus walking on land will be a problem. That leaves Jinbei as the only possible candidate for the next SH crew, but I'm guessing that he probably won't change his mind. This means the next member will probably be a be a new face.

I read this theory online from somewhere. It says that Robin will go to the other Straw Hats and tell them about the situation. And then to protect Shirahoshi from other pirates looking for ancient weapons and the world government, luffy will claim Mermen Island as Straw Hat territory. This protects Shirahoshi, but then there is a conflict created with Big Mam. What do you guys think? I remember Luffy telling Rayliegh that he doesnt want to conquer anything, but it's still possible right?
I don't think Jinbei'll have the opportunity to join the SH officially. usually in manga/anime if a secondary character declines something that they want to do in favor of finishing up some busines that character usually dies in the process of finishing up their busines. Often said character, knows that said busines is suicidal and they most likely won't come back. At first, Luffy didn't thought of needing an archaeologist in his crew, but he still accepted Robin to join his crew. IMO, Robin would have a great impact in Luffy's dreaming of becoming the pirate king. Because Robin can read the poneglyphs (and poneglyphs are link to one another), which will lead them to Raftel where the Roger Pirates where the only known people so step foot on that island or imo a fallen kingdom.
@SpymanTIVC i agree, the events of this arc will likely not reach the World Government. But Sentomaru reported at Sabaody that the Straw Hat's have returned better than ever, so that might raise their bounties once they resurface.
If you people truly want to know where is Caribou listen up, I bet everything right now that he is hiding in the palace waiting for a chance to kidnap Shirahoshi. Remember that the first time he saw her he realized that a mermaid of her huge size would be of more value than the normal mermaids he had caught, he let the other mermaids go so the fishmen would have their guard down.
Jimbe's unfinished business is the promise he made Otohime (didn't show YET), He promised Otohime that one day he'll help move the FI to land, but now Luffy will act as Joy Boy and Shirahoshi as Poseidon (the queen from 800 yrs ago). Luffy will promise Shirahoshi that one day the FI will live on land w/o any discrimination, with that promised, Jimbe will join the crew to help Luffy become the PK and so that luffy can keep the promise he made to Shirahoshi.
i say just move on and find some1 more fitting for the 10th spot and i have a filling that there not going straight to new world maybe jimbes gonna go free more slaves like tiger thats the only think i can think of.

- Jinbe's reason for not joining was really subtle, but I think it was for the best that he didn't join. When he actually does join the strongest of the strawhats will have become even stronger, so he won't mess with the rank in terms of strength and bounties.
- I really like that Shirahoshi is Poseidon, makes the whole ancient weapon thing more interesting than if it was just a big freaking cannon. Wonder if Pluton is a living being as well???

I think there's a few things left to wrap up in the arc: Chopper investigating the power pills, Franky examining/fixing Noah and checking out the light tree Eve to see if it's wood would help when added to the Sunny (making the whole ship glow like a sun), Nami getting new navigation charts and a new compass, Sanji getting the recipees of the four seas (is Fishman Island the All Blue? in the middle of the four seas), talking with the sea kings, etc.
i dont know about caribou or the ancient weapon, but luffy still has to destroy the island in some way before leaving. Personally, i think the arc is supposed to carry all of the fishmen from the deep sea towards the surface but they will only do so after luffy forces them too. If the whole profecy issue isnt dealt with and they leave its gonna suck. By the way just to make clear, is it shanks who's supposed to guide shirahoshi and her power? it would be cool if its luffy but i dont think so.
People are saying Shirahoshi will join. I doubt it. She's too big to fit in Sunny, she can't fight, she's a princess (like Vivi), and since she can control Sea Kings, the voyage will be less of a challenge. I still want Jinbe to join.

I think Jinbe will join, just can't figure out why he will decide to do it. But i guess the reason Jinbe wants to stay has something to do with fishman island, and now when "The Ancient Weapon Poseidon" has awaken, i don't see any reasons for him to protect it. Maybe it's because he wants to help stabilizing fishman island. So the conclusion of this is that he will join/leave because of Shirahoshi.

I think its best Jinbei didn't join yet, Luffy and his crew need to have a few things done before he does.
1. Need to get Luffy's bounty higher than Jinbei's, captian should always have the highest bounty of the crew.
2. Need more experience in the New World, I want every thing to be brand new to them, if Jinbei joined now well.
3. Monster Trio stronger than him. Later by the time he joins, hopefully all that should be done. Than I'll be fine with him being apart of the crew.

I can understand that Jimbei isn't joining yet. Story-wise for Oda I mean. This gives Luffy a chance to get a higher bounty, higher than Jimbei.
A bit sad he isn't joining yet, but I'm glad he is joining later

I don't think Jinbei'll have the opportunity to join the SH officially. usually in manga/anime if a secondary character declines something that they want to do in favor of finishing up some busines that character usually dies in the process of finishing up their busines. Often said character, knows that said busines is suicidal and they most likely won't come back. Also I dont believ the world gov would want two powerhouses like that coming together they may send doflamingo to kill jinbei : (

At first, Luffy didn't thought of needing an archaeologist in his crew, but he still accepted Robin to join his crew. IMO, Robin would have a great impact in Luffy's dreaming of becoming the pirate king. Because Robin can read the poneglyphs (and poneglyphs are link to one another), which will lead them to Raftel where the Roger Pirates where the only known people so step foot on that island or imo a fallen kingdom.

@SpymanTIVC i agree, the events of this arc will likely not reach the World Government. But Sentomaru reported at Sabaody that the Straw Hat's have returned better than ever, so that might raise their bounties once they resurface.

If you people truly want to know where is Caribou listen up, I bet everything right now that he is hiding in the palace waiting for a chance to kidnap Shirahoshi. Remember that the first time he saw her he realized that a mermaid of her huge size would be of more value than the normal mermaids he had caught, he let the other mermaids go so the fishmen would have their guard down.

Jimbe's unfinished business is the promise he made Otohime (didn't show YET), He promised Otohime that one day he'll help move the FI to land, but now Luffy will act as Joy Boy and Shirahoshi as Poseidon (the queen from 800 yrs ago). Luffy will promise Shirahoshi that one day the FI will live on land w/o any discrimination, with that promised, Jimbe will join the crew to help Luffy become the PK and so that luffy can keep the promise he made to Shirahoshi.

I hate how most of the people who don't want Jinbei to join have these dodgy excuses like "His bounty is higher than Luffy's" and "What about the monster trio?"... it's like you guys have no real reasoning whatsoever. They're going to the NEW WORLD! It's gonna be more dangerous, the crew doesn't need someone who can't match up with their powers.

@directorzwannabe Jinbe's A TOTALY badass guy that the crew alreaty respects and likes! He's also like a giant teddy bear! He may look all serious and tough but he a big softy on the inside! Also he stayed and helped support Luffy when he was going though the toughest time. After Ace died he saved Luffy from himself when Luffy had no will to live it was Jinbe who told him to stop dwelling on the person he lost and start thinking about the people he still has...his crew.

@369ibrahim well im one of those that says that jimbe won't join the crew, but i can see you point, but the bounty thing no. robin's was 79 mil and luffys 30 mil when she joined, luffys then went up. and the new monster trio will be jimbe,zoro,sanji then luffy ontop of those three. only thing that i don't like is that jimbe is an experianced pirate(shikibuki) and all the rest of the crew a new, and so are we so it makes it more exciting, no?

ODA NEVER FAILS. i love how he handled the Jinbe thing.... everyone is happy now (i guess?) cause he's in a way a SH but not yet so the orders will still be the same. Clever Oda. Overall this was a great chapter. Already excited for the next one ;)

- Jinbe's reason for not joining was really subtle, but I think it was for the best that he didn't join. When he actually does join the strongest of the strawhats will have become even stronger, so he won't mess with the rank in terms of strength and bounties.
- I really like that Shirahoshi is Poseidon, makes the whole ancient weapon thing more interesting than if it was just a big freaking cannon. Wonder if Pluton is a living being as well???
- There is still some unfinished business on FI

I think there's a few things left to wrap up in the arc: Chopper investigating the power pills, Franky examining/fixing Noah and checking out the light tree Eve to see if it's wood would help when added to the Sunny (making the whole ship glow like a sun), Nami getting new navigation charts and a new compass, Sanji getting the recipees of the four seas (is Fishman Island the All Blue? in the middle of the four seas), talking with the sea kings, etc.

i dont know about caribou or the ancient weapon, but luffy still has to destroy the island in some way before leaving. Personally, i think the arc is supposed to carry all of the fishmen from the deep sea towards the surface but they will only do so after luffy forces them too. If the whole profecy issue isnt dealt with and they leave its gonna suck. By the way just to make clear, is it shanks who's supposed to guide shirahoshi and her power? it would be cool if its luffy but i dont think so.

People are saying Shirahoshi will join. I doubt it. She's too big to fit in Sunny, she can't fight, she's a princess (like Vivi), and since she can control Sea Kings, the voyage will be less of a challenge. I still want Jinbe to join.

well, im kind of glad jinbe isnt going to join the crew just yet, i mean yeah the straw hat pirates r already a power house crew as it is, i mean honestly, did the straw hats really need jinbe's help to fight the new fishermen pirates, maybe sometime in the futre jinbie should join but not b4 we get to c the straw hats fight to their full potential, it kind of seemed like they were using like what 35%(at best) of their real power against hody's crew

I think Jinbe will join, just can't figure out why he will decide to do it. But i guess the reason Jinbe wants to stay has something to do with fishman island, and now when "The Ancient Weapon Poseidon" has awaken, i don't see any reasons for him to protect it. Maybe it's because he wants to help stabilizing fishman island. So the conclusion of this is that he will join/leave because of Shirahoshi.
