it doesn't take very long to program him once you have everything set up. setting up the netbeans ide and properly configuring all the files, however, takes 1-2 hours. As for battery life, you are able to plug him into the wall or run him off of batteries, but the batteries are d-cell and are used up quickly/expensive.
my friend has that robot and it is cool but i think my robosapein is better
