Apology accepted assuming it was given honestly. But I hope you don't call people prick to their faces very often. Sanda sounds interesting though I am more a Hong Kong and Muay Thai style kind of fighter. Good for street fighting though Sanda seems that way too.
@powerofthroughts You're right. I placed it too far south. It's west of Shanghai on the river there. I mixed it up with Nanchang further south. Good catch and thanks for watching but what's the point of calling me a prick. If you wouldn't say it to my face, don't say it on the computer. And if you did say it to my face there might be a round of fisticuffs.
I agree that authoritarianism is the main problem, and that communists are not the only authoritarians, but communism compounds authoritarianism in trying to impose utopian economic policies on top of everything. And it's impossible to achieve truly equal incomes, given that people who make money don't want to give it up, unless you impose some sort of authoritarian state. That's my point, communist regimes have a tendency of justifying authoritarianism with "the people's will".
@sirhumphrey01 As far as I know, I don't think any Communist states allow for a two-party system. Any dissension is debated behind closed doors by a "learned" elite. The people's will is the will of the bureaucrats who have made it to the top of the party food chain.
Hard to assess Dubcek, as one brief attempt at Prague Spring does not tell me anything about what people's lives would have been under him. Gorbachev meant well, but caused the collapse of the very system he stood for until the end (and has recently been supporting the return to authoritarianism under Putin/Medvedev).
why jion together into one federal government?? Like a union and united. why not have a federal government and have the warlord jion together with the central ROC.
The Warlords would have thier own provincial autonomy and unitied under a federal governemnt, More like america, germany, Yugoslavia, soviet union
also, the incentive to work is wholly dependent on the individual. some people are greedy while others are motivated by care or love. I fall into the latter category. My incentive to work is my will to help other human beings, and don't you try that silly "human nature argument". There is no definite human nature, there are always exceptions that falsify such descriptions of humanity.
Communism is not slavery to the government, it is where all people are allowed to take part in the government, thereby strengthening the democratic structure of the nation. Whenever a government has more power over its people than the people have over the government, it is fascism. The Chinese Communist leaders started out as communists, but they let power go to their head and were badly influenced by Stalinism, and so they turned fascist.
Name one communist leader in history who didn't let power go to his head. That's the problem w/ communism. Once you set up a dictatorship with no respect for property rights, the regime can't be trusted to respect human rights either.
Communist leaders don't really believe in their ideals, but only use them to rally populist support in their power bid.
Plus, if everyone receives equal wages, where's the incentive to work? Name one prosperous communist country. (China is capitalist).
of course, I never said I liked dictatorship. However, communism is an economic and social theory, not a form of government. There have been capitalist democracies as well as capitalist dictatorships. There has not been a truly democratic communist nation yet, mainly due to the poor circumstances in which many were created. But ask any modern day communist and he will most likely tell you that he disagrees with dictatorship and prefers (direct) democracy.
@sirhumphrey01 , Heard of Alexander Dubček, or Mikhail Gorbachev? The problem is not with communism but the overly concentration of power. Dictators can came through democratic regimes too, Park Chung-hee, François Duvalier are all example of that. Most often people choose communism before other side is even worse. Chiang Kai Shek was a dictator, Nicholas II was a absolutist monarch. Yet they all got support of the west because red scare.Hey, at least communist pretend they care about people
If you study history, you will know that after WW2, communism always succeeded in the part of the world where there was no majority middle class established. The communism idealogy appealed to poor people, and the majority of the Chinese population in China after WW2 was poor. The poor people were eager to improve their lives and the CCP took the opportunity to win the popular support. With today's ever increasing Chinese middle class, the free China will come naturally (peacefully)!!
Because the fact that people think communism is 'slavery to the government' is completely erroneous, because the east bloc was never communist and never claimed to be, and while Socialism was used to justify a criminal system it was in fact never put into practice in any of the 'communist states'. Read some Marx and you'll realize that 'Communism' is a form of direct (greek-style) democracy, extended not only over government but over the means of production, the entire economy.
and you think that will ever work on Earth? With humans running it?
We are too greedy, too ambitious. Communism will never work and will end up a sham and authoritarian.
Furthermore,
The communists would never have won the war if they had fought more than 5% of the battles in the Second Sino-Japanese War; most of those they fought were also just raids on supply lines
You left-wing historical revisionists will continue making up excuses for the results of your failed ideology; it seems as if nothing will stop you. You'll insist that in every country where socialism was attempted, that it wasn't "real" socialism, and that all you need is one more try to get "get it right". Never do you ask yourselves the basic questions. Such as, who controls the redistribution of wealth? How will it be redistributed? How do you control for corruption?
western society and government are sick and dirty history lol. as far as everyone in this planet concern, you western piece of shit are nothing but bunch of scum low down dirty piece of shit
Really? You asian commies have slaughtered more of your own people then any western government has. Why don;t you move out of my wonderful America. And go back home and ride a 30 year old moped all your life and live in a shanty town.
lol low iq brainless idiot, pls get your facts right. america once taken by force by the westerner from england, this land is not rightfully yours. second, don't fucking worry about asian commies killing there own people, asian commies didn't kill nor invade you scumbag westerner always taking advantage of the weak. you westerner are nothing but bullies like animal.

Fuck red china and mao. The Chinese in the PRC have abandoned Mao's communist ideals because they would fail china just like communism and socialism has failed everywhere else. Now China is just a godless police state.
