Going forward, it conveys a reasonable thought process, despite the author making a silly strawman fallacy about materialism.
In reverse, it conveys a irrational series of unsupported assumptions about existence. Worst of all it says that "with God I have the freedom to be who I want to be"... which is patently FALSE. The fundamental message of God is "obey me or suffer" which is the very antithesis of freedom.
I agree with your first statement, it does convey a reasonable thought process. However, what if I did think all of these things, what would prevent me from commiting generic "immoral" or "wrong" acts?
If you have read the bible, or any text in relation to God creating the universe,
you would have found that one of the first things God gives to man is freewill.
It seems to me that in this poem when stated, " with God I have the freedom to be who I want to be" the author was thinking of freedom in more of his/her personallity. In other words, he/she is free to act and say what he/she wants without having to worry about be ing accepted by people.

In reverse, it conveys a irrational series of unsupported assumptions about existence. Worst of all it says that "with God I have the freedom to be who I want to be"... which is patently FALSE. The fundamental message of God is "obey me or suffer" which is the very antithesis of freedom.
