I purchased this bike from Harley Financial, it was a return (The fellow lost his job and returned the bike.) so I can't tell you for sure. I've been told that just replacing with the slip on's does not require a re-map of the engine. (Close enough to stock.) If you are adding a power commander or fuel pack I think it would be a wise idea to do so. Your local Harley shop can advise you better than I. No backfires or pops while running, another indication that things are running properly. -Randy
I live in a quiet subdivision with a lot of retired folks. I didn't want to upset then, but I have to tell you I have the regular (Flow through) baffel back in and everyone seems OK with it. LOL
did you re-map when you replaced your stock exhaust to short shots? I replaced my stock mufflers to V & H slip ons..i am not sure if i have to re-map. The mechanic told me i don't have to only if i install a power commander.
why would you get a quieter baffle
