Thanks, Opealia, I'm not really a big fan of the speed week, I would prefer to see it when its empty. I'm in Salt Lake, so I will plan a trip this summer.
@BladeUtah if you are coming from nevada side, its right after all the casino.
you will see a sign with Bonneville Salt Flat.
if you are coming from salt lake it right befor you cross into nevada...I was there during early july and salt flat was pretty hard and dry, so had no problem driving .
@BladeUtah however i believe during spring month area get some rain fall and gets thin layers of water and muddy under the sheet of salt, makes it difficult to drive on.
you should check out "Bonnevill salt flat speedweek" which is held every year on AUG.

there is movie based on a true story, about Bonnevill salt flat speedweek called "world's fastest indian" its fun to see where about they filmed.

Hi, how do you drive there, is there an exit near Wendover? Does your car leave any tracks in the salt?
